We are so excited to welcome you to Chicagoland, the place we’ve called home for more than five years. It’s where we’ve grown professionally, become civically engaged, and where we’ve given back. In lieu of favors, we will making donations in your honor to organizations nearest and dearest to us in the Chicago area and beyond. With Morgan’s background in fundraising and Connor’s in integrated and experiential marketing, we want to make this fun for you, too (Morgan also cannot pick just one). During our cocktail hour at Danada House, look for an interactive “donation station” where you can learn more about the organizations we’ve selected and choose where you want your honorarium to go. After the wedding, we will send donations to our friends. Keep checking our website for the “reveals” and mini features of some of our closest community friends!
Despite growing up a mile away from each other, Morgan and Connor did not actually meet until they were headed to Elon University. Fellows Weekend, March 2012, they were both finalists to become Leadership Fellows when Dean Waters, Director of the Isabella Cannon Leadership Centre drew the connection that they both lived in the same town and introduced them. Connor, being the extrovert of the two, looked to become friends early on, inviting Morgan to different events he would host or attend, but Morgan — the more studious of the two — spent more time in the library or with student activities. By the time senior year came around, the attraction was palpable and they began dating the Summer of 2015. Always the adventurous types and ever the avid sports fans, their first two dates were hiking in Ridley Creek State Park and attending an Elon Men’s Soccer away game at Duke University. Upon graduation, the long distance phase of their relationship began with Morgan moving to Dallas and then Chicagoland. Meanwhile, Connor spent time in Pittsburgh, Winston-Salem and Louisville before moving up to Chicago in 2019. During the summer of 2021, they moved together to the Frank Lloyd Wright District of Oak Park, Ill. Now, they enjoy long walks, home-cooked meals, plenty of soccer games, and couch cuddles with their cats Goose and Mario.
