How do I book a hotel room in the wedding block?

Answer

We will post the reservation link on this website under "Travel & Accommodations" as soon as we receive it from the resort.

Can we bring our children?

Answer

We love your children, but unfortunately we will not be allowing children at the wedding events. We have decided to keep our wedding "adult only" (21+).

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to strict numbers we must follow from the venue - you may not bring a plus one unless it is listed on your invitation as having (2) seats reserved in your honor, including your guest.

What is the recommended attire?

Answer

Welcome Drinks: Business or Cocktail Casual. Rehearsal Dinner: Cocktail Formal Wedding Ceremony & Reception: Formal/Black Tie optional

Are there any colors I should avoid wearing on the wedding day?

Answer

Please avoid wearing white and light-dark green - as these are the colors the bride and her bridesmaids will be wearing on the big day.

What do you mean by formal/"black tie" optional for the wedding day?

Answer

We would love all of our family and friends to dress up for the occasion with us in their best attire! For men, this includes suits - but tuxedos are highly encouraged and preferred. For ladies, floor-length, formal gowns are preferred! Please keep in mind that during mid-October in the Virginia mountain area, it could range from 40-70 degrees depending on the day and time so we recommend bringing a shawl or long sleeves for the outdoor portion of our wedding.

Do you recommend flying/driving/train for the weekend?

Answer

If you are located in Virginia, or the DC area, or even the Northeast (NY/NJ) area, we recommend driving so you have access to a car - and can enjoy the beautiful Virginia scenery during the drive. If you live farther away, or on the west coast or mid-west, consider flying or taking the train.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please let us know of any allergies or dietary restrictions in the comment box when you RSVP so we can make arrangements for you.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

While our wedding ceremony and reception are both at the same location as lodging - we ask that you arrive to mingle and be fully seated by 3:45 as our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM.

Is there a rain plan?

Answer

Yes! In case of rain - we will relocate the ceremony to the Grand Ballroom Foyer before transitioning to our reception spaces
