Travel Note
Hartsfield-Jackson, the largest airport in Georgia, is located about 100 miles south of Ellijay. It is located on the south side of Atlanta. During peak traffic, this drive can take longer than 2 hours, but during off times, it is closer to an hour and 30 minutes to an hour and 45 minutes. Delta is based in Atlanta and has the most flights going through this airport. All major airlines have connections through Atlanta.
Travel Note
The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport in Tennessee is a smaller airport than Atlanta, but is slightly closer to the wedding venue. CMA is about 75 miles from Ellijay, or about an hour and a half drive. This drive takes you through the mountains and north Georgia. There may be fewer flights in and out of this airport, but you won't have to drive through Atlanta.
Travel Note
Rideshare services may be able to get you to and from the airport, but there are very few rideshares around the wedding venue and smaller towns. If you plan on staying for a few days or further than a few minutes from the wedding venue, we recommend renting a car from either the Chattanooga or Atlanta airport. Rideshares will likely not be available for pick-up from the wedding venue after the wedding. There is plenty of parking at the venue for all guests to have cars.
Travel Note
Here are a few recommendations for places to eat in the area: Ellijay Wood Fired Pizza, Emily's Bar and Restaurant, The Roof, Cantaberry Restaurant, River Street Tavern, Moo Bears or Abby's Ice Cream and Frozen Yogurt.
