FAQs

The Wedding Website of Connor McGuire and Carly Tobias
We know you may have some questions about our big day, so we’ve put together this FAQ to help! From dress code details to travel tips and more, we’ve got you covered. If there’s something we missed, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help!
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is black-tie encouraged. Feel free to dress to impress—formal gowns, tuxedos, or sharp suits are all welcome. For women, we kindly ask that all dresses be floor-length to maintain the formal atmosphere. With that being said, once the reception kicks off, feel free to unbutton your shirt, kick off your shoes, and dance the night away—we won’t judge!

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive between 3:00 and 3:15PM. The ceremony will begin promptly, and no guests will be allowed to enter after 3:20 PM. We kindly ask everyone to be on time to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted start to the celebration.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be held at the same location?

Answer

No, the ceremony and reception will be at different locations. Please check the schedule page for detailed information about each venue, including addresses and timing.

Question

Is there transportation provided between the hotel and venue?

Answer

Please note that there will be no transportation provided from the ceremony to the reception. Parking at the reception venue is extremely limited, and it may take up to an hour to find a spot. Even if parking is available, there could be a significant walk to the venue. To make your experience as smooth and stress-free as possible, we recommend taking an Uber to the Balboa Ferry, located at 410 South Bay Front, Newport Beach, CA. The ferry will drop you off right next to the reception at Harborside Pavilion, located at 400 Main St, Newport Beach, CA 92661, so you can easily transition from the ferry to the celebration without any hassle!

Question

Is parking available at the venue?

Answer

We recommend driving to the church & there will be street parking available in the neighborhood near the ceremony location. Please do not park in the church parking lot, as those spots are reserved for church staff. Parking is extremely limited at the reception location. We recommend Ubers & Lyfts from the ceremony to the ferry. Please take a look at the details on the parking & transportation question for more details. Thank you for your cooperation!

Question

Can I bring my own alcohol to the event?

Answer

Please do not bring any alcohol to the ceremony or reception. Alcohol is not permitted in the church, and there will be a variety of beverages provided at the reception. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

If your children were invited, it would be noted on your invitation and through our RSVP page. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding this.

Question

Can I bring a guest or plus-one?

Answer

Guests and plus-ones were carefully noted on the invitation and RSVP page. We kindly ask that only those listed are in attendance. We truly wish we could accommodate everyone, but due to space limitations and seating arrangements, we ask for your understanding and cooperation. Your support means the world to us, and we’re excited to celebrate with those who are most important to us!

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than June 15th. Your timely response helps us ensure everything is well-prepared for a smooth and enjoyable celebration.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP on our website under the RSVP tab. Simply enter one member of your party's name, and everyone else associated with that invite will automatically appear.

Question

Will there be a photographer? Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, we will have a professional photographer capturing all the special moments, and we promise to share the photos with you after the event. To ensure everyone can fully enjoy the ceremony, we kindly ask that you refrain from using your phones. Feel free to take photos for the rest of the night though! We appreciate your cooperation in making the ceremony a distraction-free and memorable experience.
