We went to Zoo Lights here on our first date! While that will not be going on in April, it is still one of our favorite places to go.
Be sure to check out the new Energy Hall. It's filled with fantastic information about the energy industry.
No matter your art interests, you will find something here for you! The main collection is excellent, and there is always an interesting traveling exhibit.
April is not quite beach weather for us Houstonians, but some of our midwestern relatives may disagree. In lieu of swimming, shopping on Strand Street is always fun.
One of our favorite (and free) evening activities. Walk along Buffalo Bayou and stop by the Waugh Bridge at sunset to see the Mexican Free Tailed Bats fly out over the city. Check the temperature before you go, as the bats typically only emerge if it is over 55 degrees.
The arboretum is one of out favorite spots to go to when we want to hike but don't have the time to drive out of town.
This Nature Center is much closer to Casa Condic, and another excellent place to get outside and enjoy nature.
This is a great place to walk around and learn about plants! It is divided into sections based on plant type.
Space Center Houston is open to the public, and a fun place to go to learn about the history of NASA and the science of space travel. Based on interest and availability, Natalia's Uncle (a NASA engineer) could even be talked into a private tour.
