It started at an unassuming country western barn dance in rural South Dakota. Daniel walked up to Katherine from behind tapping on her shoulder to ask for a dance. As she turned around, he noticed her stunning blue eyes; she was even more beautiful than he thought from across the room. They danced to their first song and without speaking they were both simply enamored and could not let go of each other. They danced the rest of the night away with little said but with volumes of chemistry. One thing was certain, they left that night knowing that the connection they felt was special and just the start to something unique and exciting. Within a week of that first dance we went on our first date to the Spearfish fish hatchery. That first date led to many more dates, tons of fun times, and many memories made. We dated throughout university supporting one another through long days (and nights) of studying. When we weren’t studying, we were out enjoying the beautiful Black Hills together, embarking on beautiful hikes, exciting hunting trips on the plains, and fishing adventures along the scenic waterways. The years have flown by loving each other and going on many more grand adventures! We are so excited to celebrate our great love for each other and commit ourselves to each other in the presence of all our family and friends!
