We met in a fashion familiar to many – in a college class. The course was called Entrepreneurial Fundamentals, and for those who know us well, you know that the only thing we truly got out of that particular course was each other. So yes, it was an awesome class! Starting with a simple Facebook message, we kept chatting and soon flirting under the guise of bemoaning the latest homework assignment. A few days in and we went on our first date - a haunted house on Halloween night - followed by grabbing some pizza and staying at the restaurant until after close. From there, we basically just never stopped spending time together. Our lives became shared and intertwined very quickly. Together, we fostered our love for volunteering and fundraising, and for working with kids. We each participated heavily with UNI Dance Marathon and Camp Heart Connection, a passion which has rewarded us and brought us to where we are today. When we aren’t working, we even share our hobbies. Many a late night we have spent on the couch, playing video games and watching movies together. We both share a love for spending time with our families, our pets, and our friends. Likely the only thing we don’t have in common is our preference for pickles: sweet versus dill. If it sounds too good to be true, believe us when we say we think the same thing every day. We stumbled into each other’s lives during a time when both of us needed exactly what the other had to offer. To be honest, we had begun talking about marriage as early as a month in. Now, about four and a half years later, we are so incredibly excited and ready to make that a reality.
