Jono and Sarah met in the Summer of 2021 at a mutual friend's wedding but didn't start dating straight away! It was a wonder that they had not crossed paths in the many years of being in similar social circles. And actually....months went by and Sarah started a side gig hosting at the Matterhorn in Stowe when Jono and a few friends saddled up to the bar in mid September. Recognizing each other from the wedding they started chatting about golf and catching up. As the story goes... his friends made sure to give him a nudge to ask Sarah out. Jono mentioned that it would be great to play the Mountain Course and asked if she would be interested. The answer was "absolutely". Jono said he had Sarah's number saved and would reach out that week. A couple of weeks actually went by when they ran into each other at Burlington Country Club. Sarah boldy asked Jono why he hadn't been in touch. Meanwhile, he had been trying to text her, but to the wrong number! Thankfully they sorted it all out, went on their first date at Stowe's Mountain course and got engaged a year later! The proposal was so special, also in Stowe and in one of their favorite hiking spots.
