Welcome!

Invites and RSVPs

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by our wedding website. We’re still in the process of putting everything together, so some sections are still a work in progress. Once invites go out and the timeline is finalized, online RSVPs will be activated. In the meantime, feel free to browse around and check out our photos. We’re so excited to celebrate with you soon!

From Diamond to Diamond

Fall 2019 to Today

We met at Carroll Jr-Sr High School, where Sammi was working as an athletic trainer and Chris was basically doing a little bit of everything. For nearly four years, our friendship grew, and we became each other’s sounding boards, often laughing about all the things that frustrated us. Yes, that did include quite a few of you! During that time, we also became pros at dodging everyone’s matchmaking attempts. From staff suggestions like “You know who would be perfect for you…” to the more direct “You should invite Chris to that event. He’s really close with that family,” we heard it all. Students would “aww” and even send Snapchat photos across the school with hearts drawn around us whenever we were spotted talking. But none of those hints got us anywhere—at least not back then. Well, jokes on all of you! It turns out, all we needed was a little distance to grow closer. In Sammi's last two months at Carroll, we started seeing each other on secret dates, keeping things quiet from the rest of the county. Between shared glances, phone calls until early hours of the morning, gator rides, and peanut M&Ms, our connection deepened. Moving across the state was one of the hardest days. Suddenly, our routine of dinner and a movie every night was gone. But during the two years apart, Portland became a second home. We spent every weekend together, often at sports events at Winchester and Carroll. Chris had the chance to really get to know Sammi's family, even forming a special bond with her grandma, who came to feel like his too. Together, we said goodbye to her, knowing she’d be at peace with her oldest granddaughter was in good hands. We weathered Colton’s deployment, two deer accidents, a surgery, and the loss of two family members and a student. Together, we decorated for every holiday, baked hundreds of cookies, meal prepped each week, and became a part of the Falcon volleyball, basketball and baseball family. After countless miles in cars (and truck), we’re finally under the same roof for the first time. We are now ready to admit it for the first and ONLY time, that maybe you all were onto something. Chris and I feel like we’re each other’s puzzle piece that we never knew was missing. These past two and a half years have brought so much laughter and happiness. We want to thank you all for being part of this journey. To everyone who insisted we were meant to be, thank you. To our moms, who cared for our cats, homes, plants, and laundry so we could spend our weekends together, we couldn’t have done it without you. To our pastors, who guided us to grow spiritually, thank you. And to our families, thank you for showing us what true love looks like. And lastly, a special shoutout to Pepsi for all the Mountain Dew that kept us safely on the road between Portland and Flora late at night! We’re thrilled to welcome you to our wedding—a celebration not only of our marriage but also of all the love and support you’ve given us. Please enjoy the day with us, and continue to be part of our lives as we grow together. We love you all.
