FAQs & Information

The Wedding Website of Caitlin Rene Kirkpatrick and Brett Cameron Comisky
Please feel free to reach out to either one of us if you have any other questions!
Question

Are children allowed to attend?

Answer

No! We love your kiddos, but we’ve decided to keep the wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope you understand and can still join us for the big day. Trust us, you’ll have much more fun without the kids around!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to limited space, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on the invitation. If a plus one has been included, you will be specifically noted. We truly appreciate your understanding.

Question

Where will the wedding take place?

Answer

We’ll be celebrating both the ceremony and reception at the Banyan Estate, located in Malabar, Florida.

Question

What is the venue like?

Answer

Originally built in 1927 as the first county school in the area, the Banyan Estate has since been beautifully restored into a one-of-a-kind wedding venue, blending historic charm with modern amenities. Both the ceremony and reception will take place on-site, so guests can enjoy the entire celebration in one location.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place indoors, upstairs in a gorgeous open space filled with natural light, creating a bright and charming setting. Cocktail hour will be outside behind the venue, with indoor options available for guests who prefer it. The reception will be indoors, offering a cozy and fun space to continue the celebration, with access to the outdoor areas for anyone who wants a breath of fresh air or a break from the dance floor.

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding dress code is semi-formal/cocktail. For the ladies, think chic cocktail dresses, flowy midi styles, or an elegant maxi — whatever makes you feel fabulous and beautiful! For men, dress pants with a nice button-down shirt work great. A blazer or tie is optional but always a nice touch if you’re feeling it! It’s a special night to dress up and celebrate—so have fun and wear something you love and feel great in!

Question

What are your wedding colors?

Answer

We’re skipping the traditional wedding party, but our color palette is full of earthy neutrals — browns, tans, beiges, and gold/bronze, complemented by warm forest and sage greens with a few pops of burnt orange. You’re welcome to match the palette if you’d like, but it’s completely optional and not at all required!

Question

Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

Since we’ve been together for a while, we’ve accumulated most of what we need, so we’ve decided to set up a cash fund instead of a traditional registry. Any contributions will go toward home projects, our honeymoon, and making new memories in this next chapter. However, if physical gifts are more your thing, we will happily accept those as well! We’re incredibly thankful for your generosity.

Question

What is the dress code for the day after brunch?

Answer

Honestly, whatever makes you feel good! Want to dress up? Do it. Are you a little sleepy and slow-moving from the night before? That’s ok! Sundresses, a nice put together look, jeans and a tee, comfy lounge wear, or your coziest hangover outfit — it’s all welcome.
