We met in 2017 when life placed us right next to each other. Literally! We were neighbors in an apartment complex in Palm Bay, Florida, living right next door without realizing what was ahead. One night in September, a casual hangout with other neighbors finally brought us together. The next morning, we went on our first date over brunch, and by October, we were officially dating. The rest is history!

It was the weekend of our six-year anniversary, and we had plans to celebrate with dinner. When I got home from work that evening, I went upstairs to find Brett dressed up, waiting with flowers, balloons, and pumpkins for us to carve later. That alone was a surprise and made me a little emotional. But when I noticed one of the pumpkins carved with the words “Marry me?”, I turned back around to see Brett down on one knee. My first reaction was, “Are you f*ing kidding me?” But of course, my answer was yes. And finally! The proposal also happened on Friday the 13th, a date we’ve always loved, so it only felt right that we’ll be getting married on one too!

Our journey together has been filled with so many milestones. When we first started dating, we lived in a tiny one-bedroom apartment with our dog, Copper. Over the years, we’ve grown, worked hard, and built a life together that we’re proud of—including buying our first home. Though we had to say goodbye to Copper in 2023, our family has since grown with our dog, Nora, and our two kitties, Carl and Phoebe. When we’re not cozied up at home with our pets, we love going on spontaneous trips, kayaking, walking trails with Nora and hanging out with friends. Recently, we’ve been focused on making our house truly ours, one project at a time. No matter what we’re doing, we enjoy just being together. As we get ready for this next chapter, we’re excited for the new adventures ahead. We’re so grateful for your love and support and can’t wait to celebrate this special day with those who mean the most to us!
