Matron of Honor
Yolanda is my big sister! So hey, I've known her all my life. She's always been that idea big sister, from spoiling me crazy to always being a listening ear. I couldn't have asked for a better big sissy. I can always depend on her to be my biggest cheerleader! She's the sweetest, caring, and most dependable person I know. She's that person that goes the extra mile to help anyone. I’m so excited for her and Willie. He has truly found a gem to treasure. I pray Yolanda and Willie have a good life, filled with love! Wow, counting down to the big day!
Matron of Honor
You know everyone has a different path in life and I am so thankful that GOD ordered our paths to cross. Yo, Yogi, or Yolanda has proven to be a visionary and a meticulous, mover and shaker, who is brave, compassionate, beautiful and POWERFUL. I have had the opportunity to see Yolanda's aspirations transcend into higher education when she crossed the stage at Concordia University to accept her Master's degree. Yolanda is a person that I have trusted my most deepest, valued secrets and she has shared my highs and my lows. She will go to war for the people that she loves and does it without even thinking. I want to take a second to acknowledge what a gift she is to me and my family. To me Yo, you have been one hell of a friend! I am glad the LORD saw fit for us to cross paths.

I first meet Yogi my freshman year of college. I can truly say my grandmother and I prayed her into my life, (She knows the story). We were roommates and thicker than thieves. Then we became sisters through our beloved sorority. My life is better because she is a part of it. She is a true gem and I’m honored to be participating in her special day. To my Ride Or Die, I love you girl!!!

Yolanda and I met in the Spring of 1991 on the "Yard" of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff when we pledged the best sorority on this side of Heaven. Yolanda, Denotra, and I lived in the unofficial sorority house-1920 Chestnut. Our time as roommates was fun-filled as well as adventurous. Over twenty-eight years in the bond and we still share a true bond. Yolanda is that friend who will pray for me but she won't hesitate to pull out her red cowboy boots and her bat for me. Love and Laughter mixed with just a little pain has been the basis of our friendship. My sorority Sister, my line Sister, but mainly, my Sister. I am overjoyed to play a part in your special day. I love you and Willie both! Smooches! "A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband"

"When we met in 1991, I liked her immediately! Here we are now almost 30 years later, still bonded as sister-friends. This is not always an easy task for women. For Yogi though, maintaining close relationships is a piece of cake. That’s because she is, and has always been, friendly first and fiercely protective. She has a generous heart and warrior’s spirit. If you’re part of her circle, she will hold onto you, and make sure you’re okay. On her good side is the side you want to stay on, but in case you overstep, she’ll nudge you back to where you need to be. That’s Yogi to me. She is the warm and funny #12 of our line. I’m the 13, so I will literally always have her back. I count myself as blessed to have her as my friend and my sister.

In life you may only experience having one or two true friends. One that is so beautiful inside and out and is so inspiring . Whose spirit is so peaceful and calming, that it makes you feel safe. One that you can trust to hold your deepest, darkest secrets, insecurities and vulnerabilities. One who knows your strengths and weaknesses. She knows what makes you cry and what makes you laugh. One that will tell you the truth in the most loving way. One who knows when something is wrong and she calls to say "I love you and I’ve been thinking about you". God has truly blessed me with that friend and sister within Yolanda (Yogi) Perry. It has been such an honor and privilege to have such a genuine, unconditional, and loving friend and sister in my life. Congratulations, I love you and Willie!

Yogi (Yolanda) and I have been sister friends since kindergarten. We grew up in the same town and have always had an incredible bond. She has always had my back and is such a loving and giving person. There are many stories that I could share, but I prefer that we maintain our angel images.

April 27, 1991, Yolanda (Yogi) and I crossed those burning sands into Delta land together. As we have matured, my admiration and love for Yogi has grown. We have shared some good and not so good times, but she is always that same chick I love. If something is questionable, I can always rely on Yogi to make that sound, "uugghhhh" 😃. I love Yogi, she has never changed on me and I feel no judgement from her. I adore how she continues to put up with me and my requests of "Oooh Yogi, do my hair like that!" Yogi, I am so excited to be a part of your special day!

Yolanda is my line sister and a good friend. I’ve been blessed with Yolanda’s presence since 1991 when we both were accepted to be members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Our bond is so unique and special and I’m thankful I was blessed with an incredible line sister like Yolanda. Her line name is “The Attitude Adjuster #12” and she will do just that. "I was just reading everyone’s responses. I wasn’t going to say anything, but I couldn’t hold it in anymore" is what she will say. Yolanda is my road-dog. If she is driving and we are going to the same place, I will say, “pick me up on the way, I will be ready". I am beyond grateful to know such an amazing soul and to be a part of her wedding day, I will always cherish this.

Yolanda and I meet by way of my cousin, her soon to be husband, Willie. Getting to know her over the years have been a true blessing. She has a heart of gold and will do anything for you. Our journey together has grown into a beautiful friendship.

During my last semester of college, I had expressed an interest in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Because of this, Yolanda saw me sitting on our college campus one day and approached me to officially introduce herself. She asked me a question that gave a release of the unknown, and THAT day was the beginning of a new friendship, and a new sisterly bond that has matured over the past 26 years. When Yolanda moved to Chicago, she joined my church; therefore, giving us an even stronger bond through our faith. I appreciated and loved Yolanda for being the young woman that she was then, and for the beautiful woman that she has become. I thank you for the invite in being a part of your special day!!! Congrats to you on your nuptials and I pray that you gain all that you seek after!

In 1991, I meet this strong caring young lady name Yolanda Perry on the campus of University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She was one of several who took me under their wings. She became one of my roommates about a year later (“Every Delta in the Delta House where are You?”) before she actually became my Big Sister in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated,. Yolanda has always had the right words to say at the right times. I thank her for just being what God has made her! She has totally been a big sister that I have never had! I congratulate you, my love. You deserve the best! Always remember the triangle of love: God, Willie, and then yourself!! May God continue to Bless you and Willie!

My mother, Yolanda Perry, is an amazing life teacher and role model. She’s taught me everything I know. We have had our disagreements but it was for the best and they helped me evolve as a man. I am honored to escort her down the aisle on her special day. I Love You, Mother!

Mother of the Bride
I am proud and blessed to be the mother of the bride. I wish her all the happiness in the world because she deserves it! Since the first time Willie was introduced to the family, I’ve viewed him as a son and loved him. My mother loved him, also. She was quite blown away with him getting on his knees to sing to her. I pray God’s blessing upon Yolanda and Willie. May He grant them the fullness of His glory, happiness and blessings. The scripture states: “Whoso findeth a wife, findeth a good thing and obtaineth favour of the Lord”, Proverbs 18:22,NKJV. “In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths”, Proverbs 3:6, NKJV. Always have God in your marriage and keep it Holy:

I’ve known Willie for over 20 years and I’ve found out that he has his faults, as anyone, but his faults do not outweigh the good in him. Willie is a very determined man… who has a strong family upbringing. Willie has an ear to lend and a shoulder to lean on when needed and a joyous happy spirit.
