Located just 14 minutes away from our wedding venue and only minutes from downtown Atlanta, this is our closest favored attraction, perfect if you're looking to stay around the area! #1 on the list of Georgia's most visited attractions, Stone Mountain Park features a ton of outdoor recreational and seasonal family-friendly activities. It's the perfect addition if you're looking to extend your stay further into our wedding weekend! Since our date happens to fall on Memorial Day Weekend, they typically host an event to celebrate the holiday with attractions, special performances, and the evening Light Show, the Stone Mountain staple, most nights.
Georgia Aquarium
It's hard to list things to do in metro Atlanta without mentioning the Georgia Aquarium! This spectacle is located in Atlanta, GA, about a 35-45 minute drive from our wedding venue, depending on traffic. Georgia Aquarium is a scientific institution that entertains and educates, features exhibits and programs of the highest standards, and offers engaging and exciting guest experiences that promote the conservation of aquatic biodiversity throughout the world. Zoo Atlanta
This is the perfect option for families and/or animal-lovers! Zoo Atlanta is located in Atlanta, GA, about a 35-45 minute drive from our wedding venue, depending on traffic. Piedmont Park
This a great place for a little city action with your dose of fresh air! Piedmont Park is located in Atlanta, GA, about a 35-45 minute drive from our wedding venue, depending on traffic. Piedmont Park has a rich history spanning over the course of two centuries. Since 1822, Piedmont Park has continuously evolved, changed hands, and underwent several transformations. It first began as a forest, then a farm, then a fairground and suburban park, and finally to the urban park that it is today. Have a picnic, take in the history during a guided walking tour, or check out the farmer's market - there's bound to be something for everyone here.
The Battery Atlanta
This gorgeous shopping mall is such a great way to relax and enjoy some downtime with your loved ones before heading home! The Battery is located in Atlanta, GA, about a 35-45 minute drive from our wedding venue. Anchored by Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves, The Battery Atlanta is a sports and entertainment experience unlike any other. The complex is a mix of shops, dining, living and workspace in the area surrounding the ballpark. The Battery Atlanta is also home to the Coca-Cola Roxy, a 4,000-seat venue for all genres of live music.
