It all started on a crisp October afternoon in Spokane, WA, where Chris was visiting for some much-desired military training. Instead of studying his survival skills, he took to his phone, and started ‘swiping right’. To his surprise, he matched with the most beautiful, blue-eyed, impressive woman he had ever seen; Victoria. After having swept her off her feet with his sweet New York charm, Victoria decided to meet Chris for a date that evening. Chris naturally, searched for date night ideas in a city he was not all familiar with, leaped to Yelp.com (as you would), and found a 5-star reviewed restaurant of the purest luxury, The Rusty Moose. Victoria accepted this invitation to dinner, not checking if the restaurant was open or not (it was not) and Chris grabbed his bubble-gum-colored shorts and a backwards hat for a night, that he didn’t know at the time, his last first-date ever. Victoria and Chris’ careers found them in various places across the United States, and presented their new found love with the challenges of a long-distance relationship. For the next year and a half, they became very familiar with flying between states and making weekend memories whenever possible. After spending their life savings on airline tickets, Victoria decided it was time to make New York her new home away from home (though she is still very passionate about “west coast, best coast”). In May 2019, the two of them, and their amazing dog, Macy, moved into their first apartment together. With Chris’ excessive Amazon purchase orders, and Macy’s extravagant lifestyle, this family quickly outgrew their apartment and purchased their first home together in February 2023. Since Chris likes to do everything out of order, and after having dated Victoria for 5 years, he thought, it was time to finally pop the question! Chris proposed to Victoria at the Dallas World Aquarium on October 22nd, 2022. He hired a photographer who captured the moment, and surprised Victoria by flying in her and Chris’ parents to celebrate.
