Colton and Kristin were planning to go to a hockey game in Roanoke. Little did Kristin know, but her life was about to change. Colton picked Kristin up on Saturday morning and they went out for a nice brunch date before going to walk the trails at Poplar Forest. After enjoying the nice weather on the trail, they headed to Roanoke via the Blue Ridge Parkway. Colton and Kristin enjoyed driving the parkway and had made the drive a few times before to take in the beautiful views on previous dates. Colton knew he wanted to propose in a special place where they had been before and had a special overlook in mind to stop at. When they arrived at the overlook, they were happy to see nobody was there and that they could enjoy a moment together with the view of the beautiful Central Virginia landscape all to themselves. Despite the wind, Colton knew it was the right time, so he got down on one knee and asked Kristin to marry him. She said yes! They continued their drive into Roanoke, where they enjoyed a nice dinner and fun hockey game while celebrating their first night as an engaged couple.
