House Or Rental
We rented this home, Casa AdaSol, through the North Captiva Island Club website. The home has beach access, a fishing dock, and a private swimming pool. Our families have rented homes on the island as well, (check out North Pointe Beach House and White Pelican Watch). Please note the "Additional info" tab when looking at a home - off season rates will be relevant and if a minimum stay is required you will find it here. While we are planning on staying on the island, you are welcome to stay wherever you see fit. There are no hotels on the island. If staying on the mainland, in Ft. Meyers, Captiva, or Sanibel is more exciting to you, please do so and be sure to check out the Shuttle/Ferry from Pine Island to North Captiva Island instructions.
Travel Note
There are no vehicles on North Captiva Island. In order to gain access to the island, you will need to take a 20 minute ferry ride from Pine Island to North Captiva Island. Cost per person is $20 one-way per adult, and $17.50 one-way per child ages 2-12. The North Captiva Island Club offices are located on Pine Island at 5576 Doug Taylor Circle. Here you will be able to park any vehicle you need for a fee of $7.50 per night. The parking lot will be video monitored and locked at night. From the Island Club offices, a shuttle will take you to the dock to load the ferry. You must reserve space on the ferry, which can be done on the North Captiva Island Club website. Please be timely. The shuttle does not wait for anyone, regardless of payment and reservation. Additionally, should you choose to stay on Pine Island, in Ft. Meyers, Captiva, or Sanibel, a ferry has already been scheduled to run at 10:00 p.m. the night of Saturday, May 4th to return you to Pine Island.
