Additionally, please arrive to the North Captiva Island Club to board the shuttle to the ferry, a full 30 minutes prior to your scheduled ferry time. Check-in to homes on the island begins at 4:00 and check-out is at 10:00 a.m. There are cargo limits for each passenger aboard the ferry. Anyone exceeding these cargo limits will be charged. Each passenger is allowed 1 full sized luggage, 1 - 38 gallon bin, and 1 case/container of beverage. There are a couple of options, the first is to purchase groceries yourself and take them over on the ferry. There is a grocery store, Winn-Dixie, less than 1/2 a mile from the North Captiva Island Club offices where you board the shuttle for the ferry. The second option would be to use the North Captiva Island Club's grocery service. There are forms you can download and submit here: http://www.northcaptiva.com/index.php/island-vacation-rentals/book-services/order-groceries1 . The groceries will be purchased and unpacked within your house prior to your arrival. Please note there is a fee associated with this service.
There sure are! There are 4 restaurants on the island, Mango's Island Grille & market, The Boathouse, Barnacles' Waterfront Restaurant, and Over the Waterfront Restaurant. Mango's Grille & market also serves food down at the Hidden Cove Pool bar and provides a small market for individuals staying on the island.
