We joke that we fell in love in the Pinewood Pub booths. We've spent countless hours here with amazing friends, good beer and lot of laughs. The pub has a rotating tap of delicious craft beer (usually featuring pours from several local breweries).
Balcones is an award-winning distillery based right here in Waco! You can take a distillery tour or sit and have a drink in the taproom. We both love the Texas Single Malt! Colton also recommends Baby Blue and Kailey recommends the Texas Rye.
Kailey's all-time favorite restaurant! Clay Pot is a delicious Vietnamese restaurant that has been a Waco staple for years! Kailey recommends the Stan Clay Pot and Colton recommends the Pineapple Fried Rice.
Our favorite Mexican food in town! We eat at Ranchito weekly... and that's not a joke. Truly everything on the menu is amazing and the margs are 10/10!!!
A super yummy Italian restaurant and a great date spot! The Gnocchi and and Linguine Al Pesto are our faves. We'd recommend making reservations if you can.
Pizza pizza pizza!! Slow Rise has two locations, one right on the Brazos River with tons of scenic outdoor seating and one in Woodway. The pizzas are pretty big, but you can order whole pies or by the slice!
A brewery and pizza place all in one! Southern Roots usually has live music, ample seating a wide variety of pizzas and craft beer on tap. Located right downtown!
Milo is a vibe. They've got everything from brunch to appetizers, dinner and yummy cocktails! Located in Downtown close to everything, with a fun patio. We'd recommend making a reservation!
Incredible Mediterranean joint serving a variety of gyro sandwiches, fresh pita and mezze platters. Their Greek Feta Fries are to die for!
A ton of healthy, vegan and gluten free options that are truly SO GOOD. Only open for breakfast and lunch and they get busier the later it gets, so we'd recommend getting an earlier start!
Classic breakfast place with pancakes the size of your face. There are two locations! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
Waco takes breakfast tacos very seriously, but we think Lolita's is the best in town.
George's has been a Waco staple for nearly 80 years! The menu is huge and offers an array of American and southern-style food. The fan favorite? George's chicken fried steak and a Big O Margarita!
Helberg Barbecue is about 15 minutes outside of Waco but offers the best barbecue around.
Cameron Park Zoo is so much fun and we think pretty unique from other zoos! We definitely recommend checking it out.
Cameron Park is one of the largest municipal parks in Texas! It's located right next door to downtown and the Brazos River, and has acres of towering trees and beautiful walking trails.
