As many of you know, Collin and Olivia spent over a year traveling the world, and it was absolutely the best experience of their lives (In fact, they got engaged in Croatia!). When deciding what to do for their wedding, they wanted to prioritize an experience that would be memorable, and that also would allow them to maximize their time with each and every guest. Instead of doing a local wedding that would last only one day, they are choosing to focus on a more intimate setting where quality time can be prioritized.
We absolutely understand. While this is a big dream of ours, we are also realistic in that international travel requires a lot of time and money. If you make the decision that traveling to Spain isn't in the cards for you, we get it. That said, in order to celebrate our love with those who are unable to attend the wedding weekend, we plan to host two celebrations in the US after the wedding weekend (timeline tbd). One will likely take place in Portland, Oregon, and the other in Dallas, Texas. We will share additional details about those celebrations when we have them.
Since we know that attending a destination wedding is a substantial cost to our guests, we are requesting that you do not bring a gift. Your presence is our present.
Yes! We plan to host a welcome reception, a pool and barbecue party, as well as the wedding itself. You can see more details on the 'Schedule' tab.
Yes, when you RSVP to the events, please indicate any dietary restrictions so that we can make sure you are able to eat.
We are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP.
We plan to have our ceremony and cocktail hour outside, followed by our dinner and dancing inside the venue. If it is raining, we do have a backup plan that will take the event inside.
In our opinion, it is perfect. In general, the daily high is 73° and the low is 62°. You can consider bringing a light jacket if you think you'll get chilly at night, but in general it should be extremely pleasant.
We plan on serving a buffet of Spanish-style appetizers and paella as the main dish. We will provide alternative options for those who have dietary restrictions.
There will be complimentary drinks available during the cocktail hour and banquet. After the meal, we will be providing a wine-and-beer-only open bar. If you would like to purchase a cocktail, you are welcome to do so, at the cost of 6€ per drink.
Mostly, yes. Anywhere that is accustomed to having tourists visit (major attractions, most restaurants, etc.) will likely have someone on staff that speaks English. If you decide to visit somewhere that is smaller, or family owned, you may wish to have Google Translate downloaded on your phone to help you.
Spain, as part of the European Union, uses the euro. While current exchange rates vary, historically the rates have been very comparable to the US dollar. As of February 2024, 1 US Dollar is .92 Euro, but please be sure to check the current exchange rate for up to date information
There are many, MANY articles online providing advice for travel in Spain but here are a few you can refer to for good advice. https://happytowander.com/spain-travel-tips/ https://www.lonelyplanet.com/articles/things-to-know-before-traveling-to-spain https://handluggageonly.co.uk/25-travel-tips-you-need-to-know-before-visiting-spain/
We are so excited to celebrate our special day with you! To help us finalize our plans, please RSVP by August 15, 2025. This will give us time to prepare everything for your arrival and ensure we have enough space and food for everyone.
If you choose to rent a vehicle, there is free parking onsite for both the barbecue at the mansion and at our wedding venue.
The ceremony will start promptly at 5:30. For any guests not taking the shuttle, please ensure you arrive no later than 5:15pm to allow for time to get seated before the ceremony begins.
We will be providing shuttles for both the Barbecue and the Wedding Day. For the Barbecue, they will pick guests up at Passeig de Vilanova, 8, 08870 Sitges, Barcelona, Spain (in front of the hairdresser salon) at 2pm to take them to the mansion*, and return from the mansion to that same point in Sitges at 6pm. For the wedding day, the shuttle will pick guests up at Passeig de Vilanova, 8, 08870 Sitges, Barcelona, Spain (in front of the hairdresser salon) at 4pm, and make two return trips from the wedding venue at 10pm and 12am. Please note that the second shuttle will also include a stop at Masia Cal Simo for the wedding party. *Please note that there will be a five minute walk from the bus drop off point at the mansion to the main building.
