Los Trailers Llanogrande
This is a casual outdoor food park tucked into the woods in the Llanogrande area, about 15 minutes from Hotel Lagoon. You’ll find all kinds of food: wood-fired pizza, burgers, sushi, tacos, desserts, coffee, and cocktails, served from converted trailers, with picnic tables and string lights spread out under the trees. It’s a great spot to grab lunch or hang out for a relaxed evening.
Jardines de Llanogrande Mall
This little open-air shopping area is about 10 minutes from Hotel Lagoon and super easy to get to by car. It has a mix of restaurants, cafés, and a few shops, plus a Juan Valdez for coffee and a wine bar if you’re in the mood for a drink. It’s a nice spot to walk around, grab lunch, or just hang out for a bit in a low-key setting.
La finca de Rigo
La Finca de Rigo is a casual spot with traditional Colombian food and a mini farm on-site. You’ll see pigs, goats, chickens, and llamas. It’s located very close to Hotel Lagoon, just a 10-minute walk away. It’s a relaxed place to grab lunch, hang out for a bit, and get a feel for the local countryside vibe.
La Herencia Casa Club
Just 10 minutes from Hotel Lagoon, La Herencia is a fun, relaxed spot perfect for a casual meal. It’s family-friendly with a mini farm and plenty of space to roam, and in the evenings, the vibe turns festive with karaoke and music. If you’re looking to try something different, check out the Tejo game! It’s similar to cornhole, but instead of bean bags, you throw metal discs at targets filled with gunpowder that explode when you hit them. Reservations are required to play, and there’s an additional fee, but it’s a unique and fun experience! The menu has a mix of traditional Colombian dishes and comfort food, so you’ll definitely find something tasty to enjoy while you hang out.
Romero Artisanal Cuisine
Just 10 minutes from Hotel Lagoon, Romero is a great spot if you’re in the mood for a nice dinner without going too far. The space is cozy and stylish, and the menu has a mix of pastas, pizzas, and other comfort food, all really well done. It’s one of those places that feels a little special but still relaxed.
Zelavi Restaurant
If you’re into more high-end spots, this one’s for you. About 20 minutes from Hotel Lagoon, Zelavi is known for its beautiful setting and refined atmosphere. The menu blends international, Italian, and Peruvian influences, with thoughtful dishes and a great selection of cocktails and wine. It’s a great choice for a nice dinner out while you’re in town. Reservations are encouraged, especially on weekends.
Coffee Tour Experience
If you're curious about how Colombian coffee is made, and want to drink some straight from the source, this is a fun and easy outing. It's a half-day visit to a small coffee farm just outside Medellín where you can walk through the fields, learn about the whole process from bean to cup, and try a few different roasts. They also serve a traditional lunch, and you'll head home with a little bag of coffee as a souvenir. This is a guided, small group tour with transportation included, but it leaves from Medellín, not Llanogrande. Day Trip to Guatapé & El Peñol Rock
Guatapé is one of the most colorful little towns in Colombia, and it's surrounded by lakes, hills, and beautiful views in every direction. This day trip includes a drive out from Medellín, a boat ride on the reservoir, and time to wander around the bright streets of the town itself, including the famous Zócalo Square and the Street of Memories. Breakfast and lunch are included, and if you're up for it, you can go up El Peñol Rock for an incredible view. The tour departs from Medellín, not Llanogrande.
