Sea Taxi - call (207) 879-2562 - http://portlandseataxi.com/ $65 to Cow Island, one way, for up to 6 passengers. 2) You could catch a ferry to Diamond Cove and then text (number to be added) for a ride over to Cow
There are tents on Cow Island but we strongly recommend dressing accordingly as we will need to walk a bit from the docks to where the ceremony and reception will be.
This is going to be an outdoor wedding. Think festive dress but also think comfort. Flats, sandals, etc. are highly encouraged. The terrain is mostly grass and gravel and there is a wood plank dance floor too. Come prepared! Even though this wedding is in July, it can still get chilly at night especially taking the boat back to the mainland. Guests are encouraged to bring shawls, sweaters, blazers, etc.
During cocktail hour, Cow Island offers zip lining (weather permitting). Ladies, if you wish to zip line, please be sure to wear or put on proper apparel! You will be zip lining over guests.
While our wedding ceremony and reception will be taking place mostly outdoors, we will continue to follow federal and state guidelines around the ever-changing pandemic environment.
We have reserved seats for our guests based on venue capacity. Please restrict the attendees in your party to those listed on your invitation. However, feel free to reach out to us and we can see what space allows.
Restroom facilities on the island include four composting toilets as well as additional porta potties.
