We both met at our old jobs. Collin had been working there since he graduated college, and I started working there December of 2018. By the following spring, I was ready to be on a new team when a spot opened on Collin’s team. I did not know Collin at the time. However, one of my coworkers that started the same day as me, Lenora, was on his team and worked her magic to get me to her team. One I joined Lenora and Collin’s team, it was game over! I think Lenora wanted us to date so bad we would joke about it - until one day we started texting more, and then it became hanging out outside of work and it moved pretty fast from there. Collin asked me to be his girlfriend 10/10/2019 right before we went to dinner at Fahrenheit. I can still remember the tears in my eyes, happy tears.

A random Tuesday, until it wasn’t! That day I had planned on getting my nails done. But as the day progressed, I wasn’t sure if I felt like it - but I always get my nails done before we attend a wedding. (We had a wedding to go to that following weekend). So I was on the couch working while I’m texting Collin upstairs and telling him that I don’t feel like getting my nails done. He proceeds to tell me that I should just go, because I’d be mad if I didn’t get them done before the wedding. I agreed. Didn’t think anything of it and proceeded to get my nails done. We had planned to go to Sunken Well that night for dinner around 5:30pm after I got off work, so I didn’t eat much earlier in the day because I wanted truffle Parmesan fries lol. I start getting antsy at 5 and I was like let’s just go now. And he was like we are going at 5:30. He was upstairs, I assumed he was watching a YouTube video or playing a game that he needed to finish. He comes downstairs finally, we lock up and start the walk to sunken. We usually cross the 2nd street, but this day he said let’s cross here. Since I was hungry, I was like ok fine lol. So he grabs my hand, as we are about to be directly in front of the church across the street from our house and says “do you want to know the real reason why I told you to get your nails done?” Next thing I knew he was on one knee with a ring box and I couldn’t stop swaying from side to side. I definitely blacked out in the moment! In my side eye I could see my moms blonde hair popping out from the side staircase and that’s when I knew it was really happening. My mom and dad were behind the staircase taking photos and videos for us!! I was truly shocked! Best day ever.

May/June 2019 - Met 10/10/2019 - Started Dating 06/01/2020 - Moved in together 04/19/2022 - Engaged 10/27/2023 - Getting married!
