Mt Washington + the Incline : The "classic date" from CMU in our freshman year was riding the Duquesne Incline to the top of Mount Washington for a fancy dinner. Give it a try! The views are great.
Primanti's : For the stereotypical Pittsburgh experience! Make sure to get it with the french fries, cole slaw, and tomato on it! Avoid the Primanti's on Forbes Ave near the universities: that's the one that made all of Tom's friends question his taste when he took them there. Mineo's Pizza House : Our favorite pizza place, only a block away from our home in Squirrel Hill. For the true Squirrel Hill experience, do a blind taste test: the same pie from each of the 4 (!!) pizza places within 3 blocks of each other on Murray Ave. We're sure you'll agree with us! Noodlehead : A CMU favorite Thai restaurant in Shadyside. Featuring cheap dishes and amazing Thai food! Taiwanese Bistro 33 : A new favorite thanks to our friends Steve Posney and Katie Lin. Try the Mala Spicy Beef Tendon! Altius : For a fancy dinner at the top of Mt. Washington. You'll definitely need a reservation beforehand, but the food and view is worth it! Thanks to Zach and Lauren York for getting us to try this place.
