Please bring umbrellas and/or jackets, we will be outside if it's only sprinkling. We will have to make the official call around 12:30pm. We'll be checking the radar, and may even postpone 30 min or so if we need to wait it out. If it's really raining, we'll be in the Alpine Room. There will be signage from the main hotel lobby, which is where to meet for the shuttles.
Yes! You will! Please bring it!
Yes! Everyone is invited to a casual welcome event at the Rolling Chopstick on Saturday night (5/23) from 8pm - 11pm. Cash bar. There will be an invite-only rehearsal dinner Saturday evening (5/23) at 6pm for the wedding party, our aunts, uncles, grandparents and their partners.
The ceremony is outdoors, weather permitting, at a small wooded area above the resort. There will be a shuttle provided by the resort to drive you out to the ceremony location starting at 2:15pm. The reception is indoors at the main resort hotel, with a small outdoor area. If you are more comfortable taking the short drive to the ceremony in your own car, there is plenty of parking.
Cocktail Attire, but you do you. Do be aware that our ceremony will be outside (weather permitting), and there may be uneven surfaces at the ceremony location, so plan footwear accordingly. Fun socks encouraged, but shorts are not. And bring your dancing shoes!
Yes! Your little ones are encouraged to attend both ceremony and reception. We hope that it's easy for parents to trade care and come back to the party after their bedtime!
Your invite will indicate whether you have a plus one, but for most cases if you aren't already partnered (to our knowledge) you'll have a plus one. No plus ones for the under-21s, sorry!
It's a Pittsburgh tradition and exactly what it sounds like! What a perfect cultural tradition for Colleen to adopt. Since we'll only have a smattering of family-made cookies at the wedding, we thought it was a great opportunity to collect recipes for a cookie book. If you have a favorite, nostalgic, or family recipe to share, please reach out to Colleen, Sandy, or Tom for the link! We'd love to hear from you!
Invites will be out around the end of Feb, please RSVP by April 17th.
The venue is located approximately 1.5 hours from the airport, and pretty far from consistent Uber access. We recommend you find some friends/family to share a rental car with. If you're staying at the resort, there's no more travel for you to worry about!
If you book with our group code, you get access to an upgraded policy. They will take a credit card to hold the reservation and the best price for the room on the day you book, but won't charge it until 3 days prior to the wedding. The reservation can be cancelled or modified for free up until 4 days prior to the wedding. Please confirm when you book.
Yes! We do not have designated rooms set aside for us in the block, so after booking you can transfer over to the front desk to request adjacencies to your favorite family members (we won't tell anyone), or rooms with a balcony and view. Only King Tower & 2-Queen Tower rooms on floors 6-9 have balconies (but not all). Not all balconies have a mountain view. When booking, specifically request a balcony and mountain view if that is the preference.
We suggest driving your vehicle to the ceremony location, to cut out having to navigate any gravel. The ceremony location has brick pavers, and there will be a few rows of chairs for those needing an easier sit with a chair back. The reception location is indoors and fully ADA accessible.
If you want to, contact Colleen! Right now, we are planning a recipe book, so please dig through your collection!
The reservation can accomodate dietary restrictions and allergies, please let us know when you RSVP. We talked with the chef, and while they cannot certify themselves as a GF kitchen, they are doing all the right things and have a separate kitchen area. Please reach out to Sandy or Colleen if you would like more info.
Luckily for you, Colleen's second favorite dessert is cake. So yes.
First dibs on the cookie table! Love and adoration from the bride and groom.
We love you suck it up
It won't be snowing, but bring your boots anyways, you'll look super cool.
Tom: absolutely not. Colleen: sure! We wanted our wedding outside but this is Pennsylvania and Colleen refused to have her wedding at a golf course.
Well, we'll see, but don't get your hopes up. If you want Pittsburgh food recommendations, see the Things To Do tab. Colleen thinks it's going to be great, but her standard is lower than Tom's. The GF and vegan options were really good at the tasting!
