Best Man
Colin and I knew each other as kids, but it wasn't until the tail end of high school that we played lacrosse together and became good friends! We ended up to college together for a few years, and then we were even briefly roommates as adults! He's just about the most loyal pal you could ever hope to have, and he's long been accepted as the wizened patriarch of our friend group.
Maid of Honor
Brigid is my twin (not really, but Mrs. Sweeney did write "God bless you, Colleen" in her eighth grade yearbook) and soulmate <3. Brig is the only person who can make me laugh until I pee my pants and is also conveniently the only person I trust to help me pee while wearing a wedding dress.
Groomsman
I come from a pretty small family, and my induction (indoctrination?) into the Brosnan family has been AWESOME. One of the highlights has been gaining a brother in Dave!
Bridesmaid
Cassie and I have bonded over our shared love of making fun of Sean and rolling our eyes when he is extra boisterous. So happy to add another sister to the fam!
Groomsman
Once, on a photography field trip, Mike took a picture of a river. When he looked at the picture on the camera, he discovered someone in the background was relieving themselves into the river. It was Sean. They've been fast friends ever since, and have survived several near-death experiences, including chaperoning an 8th grade field trip together.
Bridesmaid
Sinead has been my life coach since birth. Since then, she has initiated my two FAVORITE days of the year - BOAT DAY and BIG E day - both of which are the best days ever and there is no one I'd rather spend them with :)
Groomsman
Sometimes, a kid is late to get on your school bus everyday, and is always wearing a Canadian tuxedo and cowboy boots. When you meet somebody like that, you become friends with them. I'd include some more stories, but I need to wait for the statute of limitations to expire first.
Bridesmaid
When not living in remote countries, Mary loves to re-live old childhood memories and be reminded that she is the baby of the family. JK JK, Mary is basically the greatest. She was the first one to be nice to Sean when he met the family and we are so excited to have her back in the U.S.A to celebrate our wedding!
Groomsman
Davy and I literally went to pre-school together, were co-workers a couple of different times, and he lived on my couch for awhile. He's also going to be my personal physician as I grow old.
Bridesmaid
The world changed for the better when I strolled into Amanda's beautifully decorated classroom in Providence in my green cardigan and tried to make her my friend. Since then, we've run hundreds of miles together (including 3 half-marathons and one marathon!), drank just as many margaritas, and celebrated the heck out of Flag Day.
Groomsman
Ernie and I went to the CT fire academy together, got assigned to the same group, and currently work out of the same station (if you can call him being on the truck co "work"). We've become great friends, and bonded over being the saltiest two junior guys you'd ever hope to meet.
Bridesmaid
One time at lacrosse practice, I noticed a new girl and desperately bounded over to try to be her friend. Although the practices didn't improve my skill level, Jess did help me practice my thizz face, which is pretty legendary. Jessie is a world traveler and currently living in Chicago, so all wedding activities are also opportunities to convince her to move to the east coast.
Groomsman
Another MGRHS Lax alum, Moody's Slip-n-slide parties have become one of the major highlights of my adult life! He was my (very understanding) landlord for a little while, and generally excels at getting me to drink to excess.
Bridesmaid
Lindsay and I aka Bill and Ted lived on the same floor of Pardee Tower (not Party Tower, as my mom feared) our freshmen year of college. Since then, we have been many places (and drank lots of pivo) all over the world together, from epic USC tailgates to a semester abroad in Prague and a particularly memorable experience at Oktoberfest (all pictures have since been deleted)!
Groomsman
Yet another MGRHS alum, Zach and I really became friends after high school. After a few years of moving around, we ended up living near each other, and have spent the last couple years having a lot of adventures, including our recent kickball championship!
Bridesmaid
Dani and I met during my first trip to Rhode Island, when we were forced to be roommates. Over the summer, we were paired together again and ended up working at the same high school, where we told our students we were sisters who were born 9 days apart. Most believed us. Dani is a ray of sunshine and simply the best :)
