Finding a love worth waiting for 💗
How did anyone meet anyone in 2020 amidst a pandemic? Online of course! Our paths crossed online because the company Marshall was working for was based out of Milwaukee, so although he was a Florida boy he found this Midwestern girl, Colleen. Marshall said he was glad Colleen didn’t have a midwest accent… so she hid that from him for a little while. It has since come out that she definitely has a Midwestern accent, don’t ya know, Texas accent y’all, and Pacific Northwest accent all mixed into one. Marshall and Colleen went out on their first date to a hooka lounge for dinner and drinks. Colleen brought along a friend because she wasnt sure if meeting a guy from online alone was a good idea. Marshall didnt skip a beat and they all had a great time. Marshall sent flowers to Colleen’s salon the next day, and asked her out again… but just the two of them this time ;) Colleen was hesitant because she thought Marshall was much younger than her (he’s 4 years older) and was doubtful he would be ready to join her very large family (she has six kids!) Turns out, for the first time ever in her life, Colleen was wrong! Marshall quickly won over her heart, and the heart of her six kids, within no time.
Marshall and I took our kids down to Florida over Spring Break, and while we were there we had a BBQ for his family and a few friends. The day before the BBQ Marshall told me his brother was going to propose to his long-time girlfriend at the BBQ. I was so excited!!! It didn’t even cross my mind that he had planned the whole thing to get his family together and propose to me. His brother did propose, so I really didn’t see it coming. She said yes, and when the food was ready, Marshall was giving a toast, which I assumed was to congratulate his brother and his new fiancee. When he turned around and got on one knee I was shocked! Lots of tears and a little screaming but obviously I said yess as well.
