This is a place we love to come with our kids to get out and see nature. Great area to explore full of walking trails, boats to rent, bikes to rent, and an outdoor beer garden. This is also where we took our engagement photos.
One of the coolest Biergartens in the middle of a Forest Preserve. Only a short drive north into Wisconsin. They usually have live music, giant pretzels, tasty sausages and of course, German Bier. Prost!
So many things to see and do in the city. The Bean at Millennial Park, Buckingham fountain, Lake Shore Drive, Lower Wacker(where several movies were filmed including but not limited to The Blues Brothers and Batman), several old school Chicago dive bars and restaurants. The art institute and the Lincoln Park Zoo (free!) If you want some recommendations just ask!
