Old Town Alexandria has plenty of little shops, restaurants, and bars. Some of our favorite places include: Virtue Feed & Grain, the Fish Market restaurant, and the Torpedo Factory Art Center.

Walk the National Mall and see some of our nation's most iconic monuments! Don't forget your comfortable shoes!
Northern Virginia Wineries
While there are a TON of wineries in Virginia, two of our favorites are Barrel Oak Winery (dog friendly, chill vibe) and Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery (unbelievable views) - both in Delaplane, VA.
George Washington's Mount Vernon

Theodore Roosevelt Island
This is one of our favorite places to go with Oreo - it's about as "outdoorsy" as Colleen gets! When exploring this island, it's easy to forgot you are still in Washington, DC! Note: The only way to reach the island is by walking from the Virginia side of the river.
Georgetown
Georgetown is a historic DC neighborhood that has plenty of shops and restaurants. We love to to eat oysters on the waterfront!
