We're getting married!!

Colin and Laura's love story is full of shared adventures, laughter, and deepening affection. It began in June 2022, at an arcade bar in Chicago. The spent the evening getting to know each other over beer and a game of pool. Their first date set the tone for their relationship—full of fun, spontaneity and shared joy. From exploring the streets of Chicago to devouring tacos and drinking beer, Colin and Laura embraced each moment with enthusiasm and a shared sense of adventure. Their journey together only deepened during a roadtrip to Kentucky, where they spent hours talking and getting to know each other even more and singing their all their favorite roadtrip songs. As their bond strengthened, so did their commitment. Colin's visit to San Diego marked a pivotal moment as he was warmly welcomed into Laura's world, meeting her closest friends and family. They spent the next year exploring Chicago and traveling when they could. They moved into their first apartment together in March 2023. When Laura left for Navy Officer Development School and 4th year medical school rotations, Colin stood by her side, accompanying her on an east coast road trip and offering unwavering support even through the long-distance and demanding schedules. Colin and Laura celebrated her Match Day in December 2023 and they started to look toward their future in San Diego. They purchased their first home a few months later and continued planning their upcoming move. In March 2024, Colin planned a perfect proposal weekend. Colin and Laura took a walk at North Ave Beach, one of their favorite places in Chicago. There, Colin got down on one knee and asked Laura to spend the rest of her life with him. Later that evening, they got to celebrate with their families at one of their favorite breweries. Now, as they embark on a new chapter in sunny San Diego, their love continues to flourish. Together, they are embracing the future, knowing that their love and friendship is the strongest foundation for a wonderful marriage.
