Some love stories start with roses and candlelit dinners; ours began with pizza and bottomless mimosas. We met celebrating Jennie’s sister’s birthday in NYC, where Colin first admired Jennie's love for pizza and Jennie first experienced Colin’s sensitivity to spicy foods (think: head sweating and lots of napkins). Yet somehow, he hadn’t blown his chances, and a friendship was born. Our story took off with weekends and train rides between Boston and Brooklyn, hopping between favorite restaurants and sports bars while pretending the sports rivalries didn’t exist. Then Covid showed up, clearly, we weren’t moving fast enough! Overnight, casual dating turned into a three-month quarantine, and we quickly realized two things: we make a good cornhole team, and we could handle anything together. Jennie moved to Park Slope, and Colin ‘coincidentally’ ended up just a block away. It didn’t take long for us to realize we were already building a life together, and found a place to call ours in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. An end-of-year trip to Mexico and a near-proposal at the airport later (thanks to an unexpected bag check from Mexico TSA), here we are, excited to celebrate, dance, laugh, and make memories with all of you!
