It all began in 2011, during Ryan and Colin’s freshman year of high school. One ordinary day in the lunchroom, Colin found himself staring at a girl across the room—he had no idea that this girl would one day become his wife. Fate stepped in when they were paired together for a project in English class, junior year. Ryan, never one to hold back, quickly decided her topic wasn’t cutting it. She told him they were switching—and he learned that day it was best to just go with what she says (a lesson he's carried with him ever since). Though they remained just friends throughout high school, their bond continued to grow. By senior year, they were taking prom photos together—even though they weren’t each other’s dates. There’s even a picture of Colin on one knee, fake-proposing to Ryan. After high school, life took them in different directions—Colin to Auburn and Ryan to Alabama. They lost touch for a while, as people often do… until one fateful night. Ryan meant to call a friend to pick her and her friends up from a bar, but thanks to a little too much fun (and maybe a typo), she accidentally called Colin instead. As luck would have it, the “wrong number” turned out to be just the right one. They ended up talking that night… and more the next day… and the next. Not long after, Ryan made the trip to visit Colin in Auburn. The look on her face when Colin—with a fresh haircut and newly discovered muscles—walked out of the fraternity house was priceless. They spent that night at the iconic Skybar Café, where they shared a kiss that marked the beginning of something truly special. What followed was a two-year long-distance relationship, full of weekend visits, countless calls, and road trips between Tuscaloosa and Auburn. After graduation, they moved in together into a cozy apartment in Smyrna, GA, and soon became proud parents to their sweet pup, Finn. As Finn grew, so did their lives together. Eventually, it was time for more space—both for Finn to run and for their next chapter to begin. Colin gave Ryan a choice: get engaged or buy a house. (Spoiler alert: she chose the house first.) They bought their first home together, where they still live today. Three years later, Colin proposed at the beautiful Yonah Mountain Vineyards. Neither of them remembers exactly what was said in that moment—but the most important thing is, Ryan said yes… and she got the ring she’d been dreaming of. 💍 This November, after 7 years together, they’ll be tying the knot at Primrose Cottage in Roswell, GA—a stunning venue close to their hearts. We hope you enjoyed our little love story! We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you. See you there!💕
