Father of the Bride
Father of the Groom
Also Colin's Best Man! I cant think of a better man to stand by my side than my dad. My dad is someone I have always looked up to. I inherited his love for sports and love for 2 sports teams in particular, Louisiana Tech and the Dallas Cowboys! When I feel like talking about politics, he is the one who I can vent to. He is a staple in my life. He will retire on June 30, 2020 as the Sheriff of Claiborne Parish. I know his greatest adventures await him…and lots of fishing.
Mother of the Bride
Mother of the Groom
Matron of Honor
My Sister and built-in best friend for life. Ashleigh has been with me through all of life's ups and downs. She has been such a rock in my life and an always reliable source of good advice. I have been very blessed to have her by my side.
Officiant
Wesley was Bethany's youth director through junior high and high school. He was such a positive influence in my life and I will forever be grateful for the positive path he helped me stay on through those tough years. Wesley has a heart like no other and I am honored to have him with us on this very special day.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and I become fast friends during our orientation for vet school. We got the same personality type on the first day on our Meyer's Briggs personality test and I knew she would understand me like not many other people can. From study breaks at Whataburger to many nights out on the town, Rachel and I packed a ton of memories into our four short years of veterinary school. I can't imagine that experience or life without her in it!
Bridesmaid
Rachel and I met on "Girl's Day" in kindergarten and immediately hit it off. We graduated high school together and went on to be roommates for the majority of our time at Louisiana Tech. We went from building forts in her backyard and catching crawfish in the ditch to cheerleading and car hide and go seek in high school. Then it was on to even more shenanigans throughout college. We have more memories together than I could even begin to share (and probably shouldn't for our mothers' sake). She is has an adventurous spirit and I hope to one day explore the world like she has. She has truly been a lifelong friend. I was honored to stand in her wedding and thrilled to have her with me at mine!
Groomsman
I have known Chey since we were little playing with and against him in Dixie Youth baseball during the summer. Our friendship grew stronger after high school when we attended Louisiana Tech together and ran with the same crowd. We made a lot of good memories hanging out at each other's apartments during college. He couldn’t hide from me because we lived in the same complex! Chey has been and will always be one of my best friends. If you catch me at Lake Claiborne, I'm more than likely on his boat!
Bridesmaid
I first sat next to Laura in General Chemistry class at Louisiana Tech. We both had on sorority letters (me in Sigma Kappa, her in Kappa Delta), so I figured we at least had something in common and she didn't look too scary. She thought I was a little strange because my shy side took over and I didn't say much initially, but we eventually began to chat more and she realized I was alright ;) Our friendship may have been off to a slow start, but she is a type of friend that every girl needs. She will always tell me how it is, even if it isn't what I want to hear. She has provided Godly wisdom through numerous trials of life and I am so grateful to have her by my side.
Bridesmaid
Sarah and I are Sigma Kappa sisters and became friends during our first year at Tech. Sarah was one of the brave souls who didn't give up on getting me out of of my shell (and out of Minden) during that first year. Sarah has always had a gentle spirit and was easily approachable. She quickly became one of my best friends and partners in crime throughout undergrad. She was an honorary member of our i-11 apartment crew. Life in college would not have been the same without her, and I am so glad our friendship has continued beyond that.
Groomsman
Jarod and I met in college at a party. We hit it off quickly when I found out he was also from Claiborne Parish. I thought I knew everyone in Claiborne Parish. Jarod lived in his family lake house for a few years of college then moved to Ruston towards the end. Our friendship developed more while he lived in Ruston and we were able to spend more time together. He often cooked and I was fortunate to always get a meal. (I’ve got great friends)
Bridesmaid
Brittany and I met in undergraduate at Louisiana Tech. She was always full of energy and bouncing from place to place. Our friendship really kicked off when we got into veterinary school the same year and decided to room together. That two-bedroom duplex saw much laughter and many tears. That first year together we faced so many challenges and both grew in ways we wouldn't have imagined, but we both came out so much stronger. She became my vet school sister and my confidant. We would surprise each other with our favorite ice creams after long days and we never turned each other down for an Izzo's date. Now we are both entering into marriage around the same time and I am so excited for us to share this next chapter!
Groomsman
I met Davis through Jarod in college. Davis has got to be the craziest of all my friends. I can’t help but laugh when I’m around him. Unfortunately, he now lives in Lafayette so we don’t get to see each other much. He randomly calls to check in, which I have always appreciated. When most of my group had graduated college, I had 1 or 2 quarters left. Thankfully Davis was still around, so I got to spend a lot of time hanging around at his house.
Bridesmaid
Mallory and I met many moons ago at Redeemed Ranch Camp. Me and my best friend (Rachel) went to camp together, and she attended with one of her best friends. We all 4 quickly became a little crew of new best friends and all eventually went on to work there for many years. Mallory is a type of friend that I consider myself so blessed to have in my life. While many months have gone by between some of our visits together, our friendship has always been able to pick right up over a nice cup of ice cream. She is a wonderful Christian influence in my life and encourages me to stay on track and be a better person for Jesus. All girls should be so lucky to have a Mallory!
Groomsman
I met Ryan when I was hired in 2014 as an Admissions Recruiter at Louisiana Tech. Ryan was one who taught me a lot about recruiting. He was recruiting the Baton Rouge area at the time. I remember our first recruiting trip together to Austin. It was an awkward drive down at first, but I was much more at ease on the way back. Ryan has always been really easy to talk to. He had planned all of our dinners and other stops to make this trip really fun! He can tell you every great restaurant to eat at in any major city in Louisiana or Texas. Ryan now works in admissions at Southeastern University. We still have weekly chats to catch up with each other.
Bridesmaid
Stephanie and I also became friends through Sigma Kappa. When I think of Stephanie, the first word I think of is "laughter." There is never a dull moment with Stephanie around and she is always up for a good time. While having fun is a big part of our friendship, I know I can also always count on her to be a listening ear and helping friend. Whether we were wasting our time on the couch watching strange TV shows, or out sledding down snow covered hills, Stephanie was always a friend I could hang out with and be comfortable being myself. Life has taken us far away from each other now, but group texts and annual get togethers have been a must!
Groomsman
Josh and I graduated high school together, but we have known each other since elementary school. We were going to be college roommates, but it didn’t work out in time. Josh was instrumental in helping me secure my first teaching job at Claiborne Academy in 2011. Although now we both no longer work at CA, that opportunity helped mold us both into the professionals we are today.
Bridesmaid
Another college bestie who made the experience so much better! She was part of our i-11 apartment crew (Eve, Stephanie, Rachel B, Sarah, and I) that provided us with endless entertainment. Eve is also full of laughter and fun. She has helped bring out my outdoorsy side and introduced me to white water rafting and hiking. I was always envious of her adventurous spirit and her ability to just go and live an awesome life in North Carolina. Truly, without Eve this wedding wouldn't be happening. She played a vital role in getting mine and Colin's relationship started and I will forever be indebted to her for that!
Groomsman
I met Drew when he came to work at Tech admissions. Drew came to me often for questions when he was trying to learn the ropes. I quickly learned what a good guy he was and a friendship started to form. I’ve had many laughs with Drew and at him because of his snaps he would send through snapchat. Drew now works and lives in South Louisiana. Drew, Ryan, Elton and I keep a group text going so we can keep up with each other.
Bridesmaid
Marley is Colin's cousin. He grew up just around the corner from her, so has gotten the joy of watching her grow from a little baby into the beautiful young teen that she now is. She has such a sweet spirit and kind heart. We are lucky to have her in our lives and can't wait to see where the future takes her.
Groomsman
Elton is another guy I met when I came to work at Tech. Mr. Farmerville, as we like to say, is a great guy. I took Elton’s territory recruiting northeast Louisiana after he was named the new regional recruiter for Baton Rouge. Elton is now the Orientation Director at Louisiana Tech. Elton, Ryan, Drew and myself like to get together when we can. Since we are all spread apart, that unfortunately doesn’t happen as often as we’d like.
Junior Bridesmaid
Bethany's Niece
Groomsman
Jerome is also a high school friend of mine, but we have known each other since elementary school also. Our friendship developed the most working side by side as managers for the Claiborne Academy football team during our high school years. We made great memories during that time. We also had many laughs. Bethany and I see Jereme and his wife Rio weekly at church in Ruston.
