Rainey Street is the place where we shared our first home so naturally it holds a special place in our hearts. It's an entire street of renovated houses turned into bungalow bars, Alibi is our go to sports bar. Head to Lustre Pearl for the best wings in Austin, Tommy Want Wingy. Stagger Lee has great porch swings and yet another favorite for watching sports. Lucille's has the best spicy margarita....be careful, it's really spicy. Craft Pride has ALL THE BEERS and Bangers has ALL THE SAUSAGES, not to mention the famous manmosa. We recommend not drinking this before the wedding, you'll be incredibly full and incredibly tired. Last but certainly not least, Icenhauers. If you're able to stay until late night on Sunday they have one of our favorite bands called The Night Owls. If you're ready to have some champagne sangria w/ a rum floater and boogie to some motown classics, this is the place for you!
When we argue it tends to be about minuscule things. For example, whether or not Taco Bell has a beef nacho cheese chalupa (it does) OR whether or not Town Lake is called Lady Bird Lake or if it's even the same thing. You decide and let us know. Either way, the trail has running loops of 3, 5, 7 and 10 miles. The boardwalk is also a nice touch where you can take a morning stroll with a good cup of coffee.
This is definitely a Texas go-to spot. Film maker Robert Rodriguez filmed the movie Death Proof (great movie). It's dark and looks like your typical Texas saloon type bar which is why we love it. The burgers are amazing but obviously go for the chilli. The Frida enchiladas topped with brisket chilli are the absolute best.
