Sisters

Sisters, OR

Whether you are passing through Sisters on your way to the wedding or would like to do a side trip during your time in Central Oregon, there are loads of things to do in this adorable town. We recommend checking out the linked website, but our top choices here are: - Forest Service Road 16. This road takes you to beautiful natural areas. Float around in Three Creeks Lake, take a hike up Tam McCarthur Rim (amazing views of the Three Sisters and Broken Top), hike to Chush Falls, or walk along Whychus Creek. - Walking through the downtown. There is a pile of cute shops and lots of good food to eat! Colette recommends getting a cup of coffee at Sisters Coffee Company and a baked good at Angeline's (vegan options available here!). Ian recommends a milk shake from the Sno Cone and a beer from Three Creeks Brewery. - Visit the Suttle Lake Area. The Suttle Lake Lodge is a great spot to stop for lunch, and you can rent a wide variety of water vessels a fun loop around the lake.

Bend

Bend, OR

Where can we even start?! Bend has SO much going on! If you are planning to hang out with us before the wedding in our hometown, check out the linked site or check out our recommendations. - Visit the breweries. There are 22 of them just in Bend! - Drive/hike along Cascade Lakes Hwy. Some of the most popular hikes are the Sparks Lake Loop, Green Lakes, or Tumalo Mountain, or you can also enjoy a float one of the MANY lakes here. Hike up to Lucky Lake or just drive right up to Devil's Lake! - Hike around town. Walk up Pilot Butte to see amazing scenery, visit Tumalo Falls, walk along the Deschutes River Trail, or check out the lava flow at Lava Lands! - Float the river. This is one of our favorite summer time activities. Borrow a floaty from us or rent a tube or kayak from Tumalo Creek and Kayak. There is even a section of man-made rapids to float down! - Explore Newberry National Monument. This area is WILD. It has two lakes, a waterfall, an obsidian flow, hot springs... we love it!
