Matron of Honor
Friends since preschool age, Kristin and Lauren have been causing mischief, choreographing gymnastics routines, creating photo shoots, obsessively watching the Olympics, and having a general blast since the end of the late 80's. Burning chocolate in the microwave and their mutual reluctance to cook is an important part of Lauren and Kristin's friendship. They spent more time in the Coleman family lakehouse in Pennsylvania as kids (and as adults!) than they can keep track of, including fun times where the TV only worked with aluminum foil, or Lauren dragged Kristin to see the same historic mansion thirty times. What are friends for, right? Kristin is a pharmacist who currently lives in Ewing with her husband, Travis, in a house filled with lots of fun plants.
Maid of Honor
Friends since they were about yay-high, Michelle and Lauren have together battled farm work (Michelle is an excellent digger when it comes to building fences), coached crazy gymnasts of all ages and personalities, and traveled to a number of exciting gymnastics competition destinations. Whether it's chasing overeager gymnasts through the streets of Paris, cheering on puppies at the backyard Puppy Bowl, or frantically running through London to try to catch a train to Windsor to get a glimpse of royal baby Archie, good times have been had. Michelle is a teacher of Special Education in Fair Haven and also often coaches or judges for rhythmic gymnastics.
Bridesmaid
Friends since adolescence, Jenna and Lauren have been through quite a wild ride of experiences! Whether it's climbing mountains in 120-degree heat in the southern California desert, bringing a cardboard cutout of a mutual friend (who couldn't make the trip) to Disney so she could go on all the rides in spirit, working on a farm in 1890s historical costumes, or making 22-hour drives to south Florida, the list literally goes on...and that's not even mentioning that time they went bowling and did jigsaw puzzles with a Beijing Olympics gymnastics bronze medalist. Jenna currently is attending medical school and lives in Pittsburgh with her husband Nathan and adorable little daughter Cassie.
Bridesmaid
Now sisters-in-law, Ali and Lauren have been friends since this one crazy day playing fake baseball and climbing the jungle gym at Evergreen Park...but thanks to a long-ago sweet sixteen photo from Michelle's birthday, they were friends in spirit before they even knew it. The queen of puns, Ali is expertly knowledgeable about all things Disney, and baking, and even better, Disney baking. While their significant others are busy catching shooting stars in the sky, Lauren and Ali can be found singing Celine Dion songs, badly. Ali is a therapist and social worker and lives with her husband, Scott (Lauren's brother) in Middletown with their two furbabies, Butters and Minnie.
Bridesmaid
They've been friends since they were teenagers, and now their dogs are also clearly besties! Annie and Lauren spend loads of time watching their dogs chase each other in the mud and eat random things that they find in the backyard. Our friendship soundtrack is currently hollering "Kaiser! Drop it!" and "Kalea, stop eating that!" and it's always a trip. When not running doggy playgroups on the farm, Annie and Lauren like to conquer crazy hikes and excursions, such as climbing to the top of a volcanic crater in Oahu, or getting eaten alive by mosquitoes at the Vizcaya. Annie currently works for Monmouth County in Freehold and is attending school to become a nurse.
Bridesmaid
Kelly and Lauren have been friends for well over a decade and first met through fellow bridesmaid, Jenna. Bonded through their love of dance-y gymnastics-y things, they have since lost track of how many times "Point your toes!" was a crucial part of their conversations. Kelly is always the one to call when Lauren's gymnasts seem to have forgotten how to pirouette without falling down. Whether it's decorating the condo for a Disney proposal for friends, or helping coordinate "Epcot in Jackson," Kelly is always there as a good friend. Favorite friendship moment in six words or less? Lightning storm. Castle. Flooding tram speakers. Kelly is a teacher in Bound Brook and currently lives in Old Bridge with her boyfriend, Doug.
Best Man
Sometimes it's games of Warhammer that go late into the night. Sometimes it's seeing shooting stars together in the sky above the Belford Dunkin Donuts. Occasionally, it's standing in at each other's weddings tipsy at the altar because although the venue brought drinks, the bridesmaids ate all the food. Other times, it's dragging each other, standing, on a sled on a snow-covered dirt road outside the Coleman family lakehouse in the middle of the night during a bachelor party. Whatever it is, Scott and Jon have it. Scott works in IT and Networking for CBS and lives with his wife Ali and their two puppies, Butters and Minnie.
Bridesmaid
Friends since they met at the a gymnastics class as kids, Katie and Lauren took much of the same journey together throughout all the growin' up years. Homeschooling co-op classes, attended proms, traveled across the USA to rhythmic competitions, and spent endless days at the Monmouth County Fair dying of heat exhaustion and overzealous zeppole consumption. They worked at a Victorian-era historic site and spent most summers in 1890s reenactment garments in 95-degree humidity saving kids from falling out of barn lofts during manhunt games....or worse, falling into the lake with giant snapping turtles during fishing excursions. Those were the good ol' days, just like Macklemore said they'd be. Katie lives in Florida and works for a mortgage company and also as a professional Irish dancer.
Groomsman
Travis grew up in the rolling green Pennsylvania countryside, and Jon grew up in the Cajun bayou of southern Louisiana, but both know that farm livin' is the life they need. They have bonded over a shared mutual appreciation of growing a ton of indoor houseplants, much to the irritability of their significant others, as so many glowing purple lights in windows likely look to outsiders as a clandestine underground operation. Whether it's raising pigs, chickens, or farming crops, these two appreciate the greener, crunchier side of life. Travis lives in Ewing with his wife, Kristin, and works as a pharmacist.
Groomsman
The elusive, mysterious brother of the groom who may (or may not) actually exist, and may actually be stuck in boot camp for the Air Force during the wedding itself and have to potentially drop into the ceremony by parachute if he can escape in time. Growing up in Baton Rouge, Justin and Jon are the type of brothers who have, in their youth, broken more Nintendo game sets, motorbikes, accidentally set things on fire, and gotten into brotherly spats more times than they can count. What happened in the bayou, stays in the bayou. A very talented mechanic, Justin is awaiting his call to the Air Force in April.
Groomsman
Thomas and Jon have been friends since they both discovered that they shared an affection for painting small, overly expensive plastic figurines, and rolling dice making pew-pew noises late into a Saturday night with the guys. There was also that one season where they played rugby together and spent many a weekend crashing into other angry dudes on a field in chilly weather, getting nosebleeds and other various injuries on a weekly basis. Thomas lives in Matawan and works as a plumber.
Groomsman
Ski trips to Camelback, Big Boulder, and Jack Frost mountains in Pennsylvania. Countless large group trips to the Coleman family lakehouse, where loads of s'mores, late-night shenanigans, trips to the brewery, paintball, and pancakes filled their days (okay, and maybe that ONE bad time with norovirus where they had to abandon Fred at a hotel with his unsuspecting relatives). Whether it's crawfish boils in the farm backyard in Jackson or helping people skirt through college Russian class, Fred is always an important part of the extended fam, and possibly the best skier Jon's ever met who DOESN'T need a helmet. Fred works at a hospital and lives in Annandale with his fiancee, Allison, next to a neighbor that plays the bagpipes nonstop.
Groomsman
Jon and Rob met at a long-ago game night at Alison's house, and became friends over a few tipsy rounds of Telestrations when they discovered that neither of them could draw so well. Before long, they had bonded over their mutual love of cast-iron cookware, and further cemented their friendship over their love of libertarian leanings. A few large group trips to the Coleman lakehouse in the Poconos and lots of crawfish boiling in Jackson later, and the rest is cast-iron history. Rob lives in Southampton with his wife, Stephanie, and their baby boy.
