Nine years ago, Lauren (an unabashedly self-proclaimed Hawaii nut) met Jon, a Louisiana native who just wrapped up several years in the Navy, sailing around the globe. He had spent quite a bit of time in the South Pacific on his many laps around the ocean, and when the time came to propose, clearly the only option was to gulp down several extra-strong Mai Tais and kneel on one highly-sunburned knee after performing the hula in front of 200 people at a luau in Ka'anapali, Maui. A ‘o ia! After buying a 6 acre farm in Jackson, NJ, rescuing a lot of super-needy animals who mostly ended up with Hawaiian names (no one expected anything differently, right?), running a large rhythmic gymnastics non-profit (Lauren) and working in the biology field (Jon), plus delaying the wedding a full year due to a massive global pandemic, both of them could probably both use a Mai Tai or seven. Join them on their safe, socially distanced wedding day near the ocean! Mahalo nui loa! :)
