The start time is rolling. Come meet us on the beach when you arrive and get settled! This will be a casual welcome gathering to kick off the wedding weekend for those who are planning to arrive on Friday. We will have s'mores, pizza, and drinks to share. There are grocery and liquor stores 5 minutes away in downtown Nisswa if you want to grab a few things for the weekend. Please keep in mind if you’re purchasing your own alcohol that the State of Minnesota only allows beer, wine, and liquor sales at designated liquor stores. All beer, cider, and seltzer, etc. sold in Minnesota grocery stores, convenience stores, and gas stations are restricted to 3.2%

Beach Casual by Day: Swimwear, coverups, casual summer wear. Resort Cocktail by Night: Elevated resort wear, midi or maxi dresses, lightweight linen suits or pants with summer dress shirts. Bring a lightweight sweater or jacket in case it gets cool.
Join us for a 4th of July lake day gathering on Clark Lake at Nature Link Resort. We will be swimming, playing, and relaxing on the beach, and might even get on the pickleball court! Light snacks, beer, wine, and soft drinks will be provided in our hospitality room located at The Cypress Lounge next to the main lobby. You are also welcome to bring anything else you would enjoy. In the early evening, we will reset for a BBQ and bonfire. Brats, burgers and sides will be provided in our hospitality room, but if you’d like to grill something different, you’re welcome to do so.

Following the BBQ we’ll celebrate this year’s Semiquincentennial 4th of July (before our big day) by heading to town for a spectacular fireworks show! We’ll convene at the Nature Link lobby and caravan to Madden's Resort Driving Range about 15 minutes away. Bring a blanket or towel to sit on, and a light sweater or jacket in case it’s cool.

Black-Tie Optional: Tuxedos and floor-length gowns suggested; formal suit, formal dress, or pantsuit in elevated summer colors or "formal whimsy" are also encouraged.
The ceremony will be outside, just a short walk from the Catalyst Event Center, followed by an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour on the lakeside patio, and an indoor reception. Prompt arrival is requested. Off-site lodging guests are welcome to park on site and may leave their vehicle overnight. Uber and Lyft are not available in the area and taxis are limited. Please book taxi service through Brainerd Area Taxi in advance if needed. You can call in the moment as well, but booking prior may be more reliable.
