Flights

Flights are best into Liberia Airport (LIR) which most major airlines fly to. We recommend regularly checking flight options as ticket pricing can range drastically, typical prices are $400-500 but we have seen flights as low as $300 and as high as $800 depending on seasonality. We recommend checking Google Flights to compare all airlines at once. If you book through Southwest, occasionally check ticket prices as they will drop and you can make a change at no cost.

Rental Cars & Golf Carts & Shuttles

The town is very walkable and there are options to rent golf carts through Paradise Carts which is linked below. If you plan to get a rental car, we recommend using Costa Rica's own Adobe Rental Car. We recommend paying close attention to what your hotel or Airbnb offers for travel to and from the airport. Lillian is our contact who can help coordinate shuttles, email sunbeachproperties@hotmail.com and mention you are joining the Hagen wedding. They will request flight information and pick you up right outside the airport. Prices will vary depending on group size. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Tori or Cole with questions. Tamarindo hosts a variety of boutique hotels, chain hotels, surf hostels, and a plethora of Air BNBs/VRBOs. We recommend staying anywhere near the main strip highlighted in orange on the travel map. Popular hotels/condos include Diria, Sunrise, Ocho, and many other vacation rentals on the hillside with sunset sea views.
