Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Cole Hagen and Victoria Carrow
We are so excited to share one of our favorite towns in the world with you all. Tamarindo is known for great beaches, year-round surfing, sportfishing, stunning sunsets, and a lively community. We have added a few recommendations throughout Tamarindo but if you are interested in extending your trip to experience all of what Costa Rica has to offer, we recommend taking 2-3 extra days to visit the dense rainforest, natural hot springs, and the Arenal Volcano in the town of La Fortuna. La Fortuna is a 2-3 hour drive from Liberia Airport. Take a day or two to check out ziplining, hanging bridge tours, volcano hikes, white water rafting, or one of the many of other excursions offered in the center of the Country.
Surfing

Surfing

Tamarindo offers year-round surfing for all skill levels. Book a daily board through Iguana Surf, Banana Surf, or take a lesson from one of the many vendors throughout town. Tamarindo is one of the best locations in the world to learn with consistent breaks over sandy beaches.

Jardin Food Truck Park

Jardin Food Truck Park

Walk to the end of town and try a variety of foods, drinks, and desserts at the Jardin Food Truck Park.

Green Papaya

Green Papaya

Green Papaya is a Tamarindo staple that has been around long before the recent development. Enjoy some of the freshest Tacos in town while perched on a porch swing.

Waffle Monkey

Waffle Monkey

Waffle Monkey is a Tamarindo gem. Nestled in a small Beachfront alleyway, they serve great coffee and gourmet waffles daily.

El Mercadito Cocktail Market

El Mercadito Cocktail Market

El Mercadito is a relatively new development where you can find a local open-air market with a variety of food and drink options.

Sharky's

Sharky's

Sharkys is the original late-night party spot in Tamarindo. Sports bar turned late-night karaoke!

Pacifico

Pacifico

Pacifico is always busy, it is the place to party. Slightly newer to town but is also one of the few bars in town where the party will run into the morning hours.
