To Our Family & Friends,

We love you all so much, and we feel incredibly lucky to have you celebrating with us. Thank you for being such a special part of our lives and for making the trip to Newport for our wedding. It truly means so much to us. This little corner of the world has become so special to us, and we can’t wait to share it with you. We hope you love Newport just as much as we do. We can’t wait to celebrate with you! All our love, Raylee & Cole

Our Story

(Raylee's Version)

Our story actually began long before we knew it did. Before we ever became friends, or had any idea what was ahead of us, Cole and I had already met. We were five years old, sitting in the same kindergarten classroom at Rollingwood Elementary with Ms. Scott. I was adopted the following year and moved schools, and neither of us remembered that our paths had crossed. It wasn’t until years later, after meeting again through mutual friends in high school, that Cole happened to pull out his old kindergarten yearbook. He spotted me, snapped a picture, and sent it to me. We couldn’t believe it — there we were, in the same class all those years ago. From there, life seemed to keep putting us in each other’s orbit. We stayed friends throughout high school and college, ran into each other all the time, and somehow Cole was always just a phone call away. When I got a flat tire in high school, I called Cole, and he immediately came to change it. When I realized I had completely misread my flight time and needed to get to the airport ASAP, I called Cole, and with about 30 minutes’ notice, he came to the rescue. In college, he became one of my go-to calls when I needed a ride home, and he never missed a chance to pick me up. All along, he just kept showing up. Then, after college, we happened to pull up next to each other at a red light in Oklahoma City. We rolled down our windows and chatted for a few moments until the light turned green. I waved goodbye and drove off, but seconds later, my phone rang. It was Cole, asking if I wanted to grab lunch. And the rest is history. We started dating and quickly became inseparable. One of our first dates was karaoke night at a local bar, and Cole still claims his famous karaoke performance is what sealed the deal. Those of you who have seen Cole do karaoke can draw your own conclusions. These days, we’re happily nestled into our home in Oklahoma City with our two pups, Paris and Ozzie, who are truly our whole world. We spend our days working at the same company (which, surprisingly, we love!). We feel so lucky for this little life of ours and so grateful we get to share it together. From kindergarten classmates, to years of friendship, to a million little moments of Cole being just a call away, somehow our lives kept finding their way back to each other.
