Cole and Nikki met on October 26th, 2020, at Sacramento Pizza Company in Folsom, California. Nikki had worked there for a few years while it was Cole's favorite local pizza spot. After returning home from his time in the Navy in San Diego, Cole stopped by for a bite, and Nikki thought he was the cutest boy she had ever seen. After pacing back and forth and freaking out (as girls with crushes do), her coworkers boosted her confidence and encouraged her to introduce herself. Little did she know, this serendipitous meeting was the answer to her prayers and unexpected gift from God. The two quickly struck up a lighthearted conversation, and after exchanging a few texts over the next few days, Cole invited Nikki on their first date to Apple Hill. What began as a blossoming friendship soon grew into something much deeper, and on January 16th, 2021, they officially became a couple.
