If you want the Nashville experience - this honky tonk will give you a taste of authentic Broadway (without all the tourists..this is where the locals go) - check out their recession special - a fried bologna sandwich, a pbr, bag of chips, and a moon pie for $6! We enjoy Broadway in the daytime! The crowds are less crazy and it is more enjoyable. There are some great rooftops around too!
This is where Mika stole the idea (SO SAM) and started her famous bagel club. They have great bagels and you can walk the McCabe golf course (across the street). Makes for the perfect start to a Saturday morning :). McCabe is a paved walking path around the golf course and is about 3 miles (its a loop too!).
If you're craving a delicious pastry - this pastry shop is next to Mika and Cole's apartment! The owner/head chef attended pastry school in France. The croissants and pastries are next level - some of our favorites are the cinnamon pecan bunz and the pain au chocolat!
One of Cole's favorite bars - has a great outdoor spot and good cocktails!
After we went to Ireland Cole decided he is Irish (he wishes). We love coming here on Fridays after work to enjoy some pints! They have Guinness on draft - food is good too!
You need to see the real Parthenon while you're here. This is located in Centennial park which has nice places to walk too! This is also where we took our engagement photos.
Some say its overrated but I say they ARE! Great lunch spot. Casual Italian market and casual restaurant. I don't think you can go wrong but we love the spicy Italian sub!
Good dinner and brunch spot! Mediterranean small plates. It's delicious! You must get the avocado crispy rice and whipped feta.
Amazing tacos - seriously. Sometimes a long wait. The smash burger is also DELICIOUS :).
Fun little museum right downtown.
Really cute and hip coffee shop in Wedgwood Houston.
Either location (East or Midtown) is a classic - chose this one because it is close to the Kimpton. Make SURE you get the root beer float shot.. you will thank us later :). Great neighborhood bar.
Need I say more? Get your hot chicken fix - it's ok I wont judge :).
Great spot w/ a large outdoor German beer garden and MANY beers on draft! Food is okay.. all of their apps are really good (pretzels + fried pickles). Plus they frequently have stein holding contests so that's fun!
If you're looking for a nice dinner on Friday night OR a great brunch spot too - food here is amazing.
Great spot to enjoy some cocktails outside on a fall day/evening. They have great pizza here - try the ranch and pizza rolls! Also have a great hot toddy!
