Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 28th. Make sure to mail your RSVP cards back with enough time for us to receive them by this date.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

See the "travel" tab. We have a room block under the Uphold/Shaffer wedding at The Summit Inn. There are several other hotels nearby in Uniontown.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please join us in cocktail or formal attire. Feel free to lean into the spring time colors and florals! Wear what makes you feel like your best self! Our bridesmaids will be in 'steel blue' floor length gowns. Our groomsmen will be in black tuxes.

Question

Can I bring a +1?

Answer

Due to limited venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate the guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If your invitation includes a plus one or children, it will be noted on your invitation envelope. Thank you so much for understanding, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

What should we during the time between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony is expected to be over by 2 pm. It is then approximately a 30 minute drive to the Summit. While waiting for cocktail hour to begin at 4:30 pm, there’s a few things you can do to pass the time… There’s a bar located in the Summit Inn lobby that will be open. Feel free to hang out there and start the party early! You could also take a quick trip to Nemacolin Casino or the Great Cross of Christ in Jumonville!

Question

What food will be served?

Answer

We'll have 3 hot hors d'oeuvres served during cocktail hour along with a Casselman Creamery cheese display and vegetable crudité table. For dinner, you have the choice of NY strip steak or Chicken Cordon Bleu. Both will be served with salad and 2 side dishes. There will also be served cake and a cookie table for dessert! If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction, please indicate that on your RSVP card so that we can accommodate you!

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes! There will be an open bar for the reception.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there are large parking lots both at The Historic St. Peter's Church and The Historic Summit Inn.

Question

Are the locations handicap accessible?

Answer

Yes! The church has a flat walkway from the right side of the parking lot to the entrance. The Summit also has a ramp entrance on the left side of the building from the parking lot.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes, we are registered at Target and Amazon! Links are available under the registry tab. Thank you all so much for all you do for us!
