Our Story in Pictures

September 2017- The first unofficial "hangout", Samantha visited VT and poured beer on Michael's head.... little did they know 6 years later they'd be getting hitched!

September 2018-The first official date, Michael flew all the way from NC to spend a weekend in the city with Samantha!

October 2018- Michael and Samantha met up to celebrate Samantha's 22nd birthday in Poquoson, VA with some friends!

January 2019- After doing long distance for a few months, Samantha and Cooper decided to take the plunge to move to Raleigh, NC with Michael until Samantha started grad school!

February 2019- The first Valentines day together in 2019, this was also the day Samantha found out she got into graduate school!

March 2019- Samantha and Michael went to their first concert together in NC to see Chelsea Cutler!

April 2019- Road Trip!!! Samantha and Michael spontaneously drove 800 miles to Miami for a long weekend getaway!

April 2019- Michael and Samantha in Miami, delirious from 2nd degree sunburn....

May 2019- Posed in front of their first Raleigh apartment!

June 2019- They took a quick trip to NY to celebrate Samantha's grandpa turning 85!

August 2019- Michael spent some time on the boat in NY before heading back to his apartment in NC.... without Samantha :(

September 2019- Michael came back to NY to visit Samantha where they went apple picking and sweat so much they thought they'd die.

October 2019- They celebrated their one year and dressed up as the characters from Scooby doo for Halloween! Michael used his artistic talents to make the cute collars.

November 2019- Samantha flew to VA to celebrate Thanksgiving with Michael and his mom, where they ate tacos and visited some friends!

January 2020- Samantha flew to NC where she celebrated NYE 2020 at a piano bar with Michael and some friends!

March 2020- The pandemic hit and grad school went remote. Samantha and cooper hopped back on the road and decided to stay with Michael in NC until further notice!

June 2020- They took a trip back to Lake Gaston, NC where they had fallen in love back in August of 2018.

June 2020- They floated the river together for Samantha's first time ever river tubing! They had the best time ever!!!

July 2020- They celebrated July 4th with some friends in Charleston, SC!

August 2020- Unfortunately, their time living in NC came to an end and Samantha had to move back to NY to finish out grad school while Michael stayed in NC.

October 2020- Michael came to NY to visit for Samantha's 24th birthday where they went pumpkin picking, drank pumpkin beer and carved pumpkins!

March 2021- Michael officially became a New Yorker and they got their first real apartment together <3

April 2021- They celebrated Samantha's grad school formal!

June 2021- They started off Summer 2021 with a fun jet ski ride!

July 2021- They explored their neighborhood and came upon some giant margaritas!

August 2021- To end their summer, they flew to Hawaii where Michael popped the question :)

August 2021- Samantha of course said....YES!

August 2021- They had the absolute BEST time exploring Hawaii with friends and celebrating their new engagement!

August 2021- They made it home and hurried to pick up their furry friend to spill the big news! Cooper couldn't believe it!

September 2021- To end the summer with a BANG, Samantha went to her first ever metal concert! Michael couldn't wait to share one of his favorite hobbies with his new Fiancé!

September 2021- They went for one last hike before Samantha started her last fieldwork rotation!

October 2021- They took a family trip with cooper to Cape cod so Samantha could meet Michael's Nana!

November 2021- They went to the Virginia Tech Bowl game at Yankee Stadium!

December 2021- Samantha accompanied Michael to his first ever broadway show- The Phantom of the Opera!

January 2022- They celebrated 2022 NYE the right way... IN PAJAMAS!

March 2022- They watched VT crush Duke in the ACC championship game in Brooklyn, NY!

April 2022- They visited a cute cafe together and had a very delicious brunch!

May 2022- They celebrated Sam's OT school graduation!

May 2022- They celebrated Samantha's brother and sister-in-law's wedding!

June 2022- They took a trip to Cold Spring where Michael decided to rock a mustache and neither of them could keep their eyes open for a picture

July 2022- They watched fireworks at the Kensico Dam for July 4th

August 2022- They went to Plymouth, Massachusetts to visit Michaels nana and family

September 2022- They visited Little Island in NYC

October 2022- They celebrated Samantha's 26th birthday, her 4th birthday celebration with Michael by her side <3

November 2022- They visited the Museum of Natural History, where Michael got to share his love of dinosaurs with his future wife

December 2022- Samantha and Michael venture into NYC to do holiday things!

January 2023- They celebrated a friends wedding to kick off an amazing wedding year!

February 2023- They visited the Museum of Illusions in NYC and took this not so illusion-y photo

JUNE 1, 2023- THEY BECAME HUSBAND AND WIFE!
