Our People

Cami Cohen

Maid of Honor

Even though Jessie and Cami are five years and five days apart, they often get mistaken as twins. While the two couldn't be more different their love for broadway, passion for good food, adventurous spirits and big hearts brings them closer and closer together as they get older. Jessie admires so much about Cami; her mature nature, her ability to read people, her half glass full mentality and how amazing of a friend, sister and daughter she is.

Henry Parizek

Best Man

The journey of Big Hen and Taylor began during recess at Crossroads Elementary School (Go Cougars). The daily pickup football games built the foundation for a lifelong friendship. Childhood sports, countless hours running 88.7 KWDM the Point (Des Moines' #1 Modern Rock Station), living together in college, and much more have only brought these two closer together. And even as the miles apart have grown, you'll still find these two constantly checking in on each other, discussing the world's problems at length, and of course, keeping up with all things WNBA. Taylor couldn't be more grateful to have the Big Hen as his Best Man.

Deni Kamper

Best Woman

What started at an adult kickball league in Louisville, Kentucky, turned into a sisterhood that will last a lifetime. Jessie describes Deni as the soul sister she was always meant to find. The two are normally laughing so hard they are trying not to pee their pants, neck deep into an absurd conversation or on the phone while one of them searches T.J. Maxx. The only thing she loves more about Deni than how amazing of a friend she is, is the friendship her and Taylor have.

Christian Bohn

Groomsman

Christian Bohn is a Special Boy, and that's just how Taylor likes him. This friendship built of loyalty, support, and so many damn laughs has been going strong since Indian Hills Junior High School. From sharing the scrum on the Rugby pitch, adventuring in National Parks, and living together in college these two share more stories than they can remember. Taylor can't imagine celebrating this day without this Special Boy.

Anabelle Lassen

Bridesmaid

Anabelle and Jessie started their friendship off in diapers as preschoolers, making it clear they were actually sisters. From the playground, to summer camp, to dance classes and halloweens, the two were inseparable as little kids. That love for each other has never changed and the two always make it a priority to spend time together no matter how chaotic life gets.

Ali Eldadah

Groomsman

Ali and Taylor's origins take us all the way back to 1st Grade. These two became fast friends and started hanging out constantly. Not much has changed in the last 20+ years, as these two now live 10 minutes apart, just like when they were growing up. Taylor couldn't be happier to have Ali as a consistent, loving, and loyal friend. You'll find these two, attempting to play basketball, catching up on sports, and giving each other a hard time until the day they die.

Leora Aizman

Bridesmaid

When Jessie thinks of growing up Fridays at the Fort Lee community center, dancing at bar mitzvahs and sneaking out of basements immediately come to mind; through it all Leora was right there. The two met on a gifted and talented field trip in 6th grade, but Jessie quickly realized Leora is one of the most loyal and wonderful friends she could wish for. Lucky enough to only be a few miles away in college, Jessie and Leora have truly grown up together.

Garrett Kroeger

Groomsman

Garrett, or as Taylor knows him, Gert, met the Groom while they were attending Iowa State. Both were pursuing Sports Journalism and spent countless hours arguing with each other on The Clone Zone. The airwaves made way for an incredible friendship full of laughs, honesty, and support. Taylor truly treasures the time they've spent together and the consistent communication they still have.

Morgan Mankle

Bridesmaid

Part of getting married is gaining a whole addition of family, but since Jessie and Morgan first met they've called each other sisters. As the life of the party with the most spontaneous and adventurous spirit, Jessie is constantly in awe of Morgan's ability to live life to the fullest. Jessie is so lucky to be gaining another sister in Morgan and is beyond grateful she's making the trip for the wedding from Colombia, South America!!

Jacob White

Groomsman

"Jammin" Jacob and "Terrific" Taylor's friendship was truly built on-air at 88.7 KWDM the Point, the student-run radio station at Valley High School. Through the countless shows these two hosted, they were able to form a lifelong friendship overflowing with music, comedy bits, pranks, and love. While both their creative outlets have shifted over the years, their friendship is as strong and consistent as ever.

Steph Ohnona

Bridesmaid

It all started when 36 girls in a new sorority pledge class spent every available hour together. It didn't take long for Steph and Jessie to find each other and plan to be roommates in the sorority house sophomore year. The inside jokes became plentiful, the silliness of course a regular occurrence and when there were tears Jessie knew Steph was her rock to lean on. All these years later, Jessie feels so special to have a loyal, loving and intuitive friend like Steph.

Scott Campbell

Groomsman

Scott has been a constant in Taylor's life since day one. These cousins have always been close, from growing up in each other's homes making up games to now visiting each other across the country. Not only is Taylor extremely grateful for the amazing relationship he holds with Scott, but the friendship Scott has created with Jessie at the same time, fully welcoming her into the family.

Haley Levinson

Bridesmaid

There are more stories than can be remembered of Jessie and Haley's shenanigans at the University of Maryland, but being attached at the hip really goes back to Florence, Italy. Their chaotic personalities, need for trying everything, love for shopping and constant medical ailments had them in every restaurant, store, doctors office, hospital, pharmacy and shop you could find. It was the time of their lives and Jessie couldn't imagine living it with anyone better than Haley. To this day, they've got each others backs always.

Jared Calvert

Groomsman

Jared and Taylor's friendship was formed in the heart of Cyclone Nation. These two met at Iowa State, where they spent way too many hours working together at isuTV and Cyclones.TV. That sparked a friendship that flourished with many nights dancing at Sips in Ames, which years later evolved (or devolved) into some hardcore karaoke up at Rooters in Fargo once they both moved to North Dakota. Taylor can't thank Jared enough for always being the caring and committed friend he is.

Tyler Emery

Bridesmaid

With desks right next to each other during their nightside shift as reporters in Louisville, Kentucky, Jessie and Tyler have laughed, cried and screamed more times than they can count. After spending 8+ hours together at work, the two would call each other on every drive home. This beautiful friendship was formed in the midst of chaos. Of course wearing bulletproof vests, working the frontlines of a pandemic and getting tear gassed were defining moments, but luckily it led to some of the best girls days, dance parties, dinner dates, heart to heart conversations and memories they could ask for.

Joey Mullins

Groomsman

JP Mully Mulls and Taylor instantly hit it off after meeting while hosting a sports talk show (The Weekend Pregame) at Iowa State. They enjoyed each other's company so much that they lived together for the majority of college. Spending plenty of nights playing 2K, jamming out to music, and having thoughtful conversations about the future. Taylor couldn't be happier to still have Joey as the kind, compassionate, loving friend he's always been.

Ann Stillman

Bridesmaid

Jessie and Ann can sit and talk for hours and that's been true since their elementary recreational basketball days. From middle school Fridays at Jessie's house with cheddar chips and hummus, to surviving Los Angeles in the summer of 2016, a lot of life's big ups and downs for both Jessie and Ann happened together. Their friendship has always been like family; no matter what changes in life they will be there for each other in a heart beat.

Phil Ford

Officiant

Phil has been a part of Jessie & Taylor's journey from the very start. Taylor and Phil worked together in a local news sports department in Fargo, North Dakota while Jessie reported at a competing station in town. He's one of the few people who lived through the Fargo days with Jessie and Taylor, surviving the start of their relationship and the tundra. There was a running joke for years that Phil would marry Jessie and Taylor if the day were to ever come to fruition, and now here we are! Jessie and Taylor feel so incredibly lucky to know and love Phil. He's such an important part of their story, and a crucial friend for life.

Vanessa Misciagna

Bridesmaid

Working in the news industry requires lots of moving across the country and constantly starting from scratch. Putting down roots in a new place is always easier with great people and that's exactly what happened with Jessie and Vanessa when they moved to Denver. After hearing each other's names through the industry, the two became quick friends. Bonding over their east coast roots, their love for creativity, music, thrift shops, cocktails and their dogs, they found a sense of home in each other.
