Kyle planned to propose to Paige the first night of vacation. This vacation was to celebrate her graduation from Western and acceptance of her first post-college job. Unfortunately they started indulging in vacation drinks too early and the plans quickly changed to the next night. Paige, Kyle, and Paige's parents got ready and went to a nice dinner at Doc Ford's in Ft Meyers Florida. After dinner they went for a walk to the pier that over looks the ocean. It had gotten a little darker than Kyle had wanted but he went for it anyways. Pretending to pose for a picture, Kyle got ready to propose. Paige wasn't sure how to act when she looked and Kyle was down on one knee asking her to marry him but she knew her answer, “YES”. It was a surreal walk home, Paige could not stop staring at the beautiful ring that Kyle picked out all by himself and talking about their future. They spent the night chatting about how perfect it was (regardless of all the things that weren't as planned). Now they're here planning their wedding and excited to spend their lives together!

Paige had always wanted to do the local pageant so she knew she was going to enter Miss Eau Claire/Sodus 2012. Kyle knew he wanted to enter Mr. Eau Claire/Sodus so he could spend the year messing around with his friends. Little did they know they would find a love that lasted a lifetime. They attended different schools so their first actual conversation was the night before the pageant. After they were each crowned, they said their congratulations and ironically realized they had both been contestant number 5 for their respective groups. So began their year serving on the same court and attending parades. While attending the Miss Blossomtime pageant, Magnolia (their courtmate), suggested Kyle take Paige to the Eau Claire Prom. Since she said it in front of Paige, Kyle HAD to take her or it would be rude. On the night of the prom, Kyle picked up Paige in his Aunt’s Avalanche and they went to Red Lobster before heading to prom at the St Joe Kickers Club. By the second slow song Kyle had decided he was into Paige (FINALLY) and they danced while he sang like a goofball. They took pictures in the photo booth and continued the connection into After Prom. It was clear there was some major chemistry. 3 short months later, June 30th 2012, Kyle asked Paige to be his girlfriend while they watched the Watervliet fireworks and the rest is history.
