Our Story

It all started with a swipe… Relationships can often begin through chance encounters, shared interests, or even a bit of digital matchmaking. In Jordan and Noah’s case, they met through the greatest matchmaker of the 21st century, Tinder. In the fall of 2021, after Noah and Jordan both decided that their respective Tinder profiles were up to each other’s standards, they matched and decided they would go on a date. Little did Jordan know that Noah would invite her to Steve’s Old Time Tap, a ratty dive bar in downtown Rock Island, known for its 2-dollar Busch Light cans and its distinct odor. (Not a girls' dream first date). But after a few drinks, and mingling between friend groups, a spark was created and they both decided that a true first date was in order. Noah took Jordan to Baked Beer and Bread Co. in the Village of East Davenport, where the check was picked up by a member of the Augustana College Football staff (who said it doesn’t pay off to play Division 3 sports). Following a successful true first date, dozens of future dates cascaded into the couple moving in together. As Noah started his first job out of college at Sherwin Williams, Jordan was cracking the books as she finished her Doctor of Occupational Therapy at St. Ambrose University. Throughout that time together, they shared their passion of biking around the Quad Cities and stopping in local breweries (I don’t believe they stopped back into Steve’s Old Time Tap). After Jordan’s graduation, they decided to start a new adventure and move to Greenville, South Carolina. Once they settled in and explored their new city and all its’ offerings, they decided it was time to take the next big step in their relationship by adopting their beautiful fur baby, Mollie. Noah then built up the courage, after many long phone calls with his close friends making sure the details were perfect, and finally popped the big question. Jordan and Noah got engaged November 4th, 2023 in a beautiful spot by one of their favorite walking trails in Downtown Greenville. The couple is overjoyed for their future together and they are so excited to share their special day with those who've been a part of their journey! -Ryan Thornton (Best Man)
