It was a picture on the refrigerator. "Who is that?" Adam asked, pointing to one woman in the photo. "You don't have a chance," Alissa, Adam's future sister-in-law shot back. The picture was of Alissa and two other women she worked with at the Hyatt lobby bar. The woman Adam had pointed to was Allison. Adam had never met her, but knew in that instant that he wanted to. A short while later, Adam also began what would be his career at the Hyatt. He, too, started in Food & Beverage. Having already heard many tales of this young man from her friend and coworker, she went to go meet him. "Does she really call you 'Little Brother'?" She asked. "Yes. And I hate it." A Led Zeppelin tribute band was coming to Ace of Spades, a new music venue downtown. "I want to go, but no one wants to go with me," Allison said casually one day while standing in the lobby with Adam. "What? Let's go! I love Led Zeppelin," he replied. "Really?" "Yes, I love them! I've been listening to them since I was a tiny child." And thus began a friendship that blossomed into a relationship. As Adam likes to say, we fell in love across the lobby. Now, almost 7 years later, we begin a new chapter in our journey, and couldn't be more excited.
