What is the wedding dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal. For men, they should wear a classic suit including a tie. Women should wear formal evening wear, floor-length dresses or midi length dresses. No khakis, no cargo shorts or pants and no denim.

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

While we adore children, we've opted for an adults-only affair to allow everyone to relax and enjoy the celebration. We hope you understand our decision and can arrange childcare for the evening. If you have any concerns or special circumstances, please don't hesitate to contact us directly to discuss further.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our afternoon ceremony will be outdoors near the gardens, while cocktail hour and the reception will take place indoors. Guests will walk to the ceremony through the gardens, and for that reason, stiletto or otherwise-thin heels are not recommended.

I'm visiting from out of town. What can I do while I'm in town?

Answer

If you're from out of state and have never seen The Great Lakes, Grand Haven and Holland are 41 minutes and 38 minutes away, respectively. If you're staying in Kalamazoo, South Haven is 51 minutes away. Grand Rapids is home to the beautiful Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park’s and has also been named Beer City USA!
