We first met through work at our company party in Cincinnati and instantly hit it off. At the time, Dan was living in Cleveland and Miranda was living in Cincinnati, but that didn’t stop us from keeping in touch. After weeks of talking, we decided to meet up for New Year’s Eve in Cleveland — and the rest, as they say, is history. For the next year, we navigated long distance between Cleveland (Ohio City) and Cincinnati (Milford), taking turns visiting each other and exploring both cities together. We fell in love not only with each other, but also with everything our hometowns had to offer — from great food and neighborhoods to a few memorable (and sometimes stressful) Bengals vs. Browns games. After more than a year and a half of long distance, we decided to make the leap and move in together at Dan’s house in Ohio City. We bought electric bikes and spent our days exploring the city — from sunny weekends at Edgewater Beach to cheering at Browns, Bengals, and Guardians games, and eating our way through all the amazing restaurants in Ohio City, Tremont, and Lakewood. As much as we love city life, we knew we wanted to find a place to truly call home. In July 2024, we bought a beautiful 100 year old fixer-upper in Kent, Ohio. Since then, we’ve poured our hearts (and weekends) into making it our own — tearing down endless wallpaper (including a memorable red velvet one), refinishing the original hardwood floors, completely gutting and rebuilding our kitchen, and even tackling our own powder room renovation. Every project has made the house feel more like ours — full of character, love, and a touch of sawdust. We’ve also loved traveling together — from Amsterdam to Germany, Belgium, and Austria — and can’t wait for all the adventures still to come. But our biggest and most meaningful adventure yet will be saying “I do” this year. We cannot wait to celebrate our reception with all of you on September 12, 2026. It means the world to us that you’re part of Our Story and we’re so grateful to share this next chapter surrounded by the people we love most.
